"Let's ride through the sunset, I could be your best friend."

Time. She was running out of time.

Yet, Chat Noir held onto her hand tightly, not letting her go. Marinette cursed herself in her head, pulling away from the cheeky cat. Even so, he didn't let go. The blonde male pulled her closer through her resistance, pleading her to stay with him.

"Ladybug. Don't leave me."

"And what, Chat? Watch as you leave me when you find out who I really am?! And I've said, we mustn't know each other's identities."

"Love will take us by surprise."

"No."

Chat held her closer, hugging her with everything he had. Everything he felt was poured into this hug. Such a simple act, yet so fulfilling. Marinette continued to struggle, however.

"Let go!" She squirmed, pushing herself out of the cat's grasp. It was impossible, though, as he held on so tight.

Then, he surprised her.

Turning her around, he pulled her face to his, makIng their lips meet- it was magical, a burst of feeling and a spark of emotion running through them as they kissed. It was anything either of them could hope for; it was just that good. Yet, at that moment- a flash of light disturbed the two, and Marinette pulled away.

"And I'll watch you go, you'll be beautiful."

"Marinette?" Chat Noir took her hand as she turned to leave, tears daring to stream down her face.

Nononononononono- Marinette was ready to cry. He would hate her now, wouldn't he? She was just Marinette, a clumsy girl who had a major crush on someone who didn't even like her back. She was pathetic. Chat Noir would never team up with her again, she would be all alone, she would lose her partner.

"Marinette, it's fine."

She pushed him away, even if he tried to hug her close.

"My lady, what if I made it up to you?"

And with that, a flash of light.

"We will spread our wings and we'll fly."

"Adrien?"

Marinette could not believe herself. This had to be a dream, it was the only way things that were happening could be real! Yes, it was all just a dream. She would wake up and Chat Noir would not be the love of her life and everything would be fine- that's what she thought.

But when he pulled her close and kissed her again. Marinette could not deny the way it felt oh so right, how she melted in his arms, how he held her tight. Yes, Chat Noir was Adrien, and she was Ladybug.

"Silly kitty." She paused, pulling away.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"And if you let me explore you,

I will sing for you

Just before you sleep

But in this case love your beauty sings,

And it goes."
