R&R This is just a quick snapshot of James and Lily. I love them. It's very fluffy. (You know these characters or anything similar aren't mine, lol.)
Enjoy!

Lily pierced her finger and small rubies crawled their way down her thumb, scarlet against alabaster. She winced and sucked in her breath. Almost immediately James swiveled around as if her every move, her every breath was in direct correlation with his reasons to live.
"What happened?" he asked urgently, his eyes sweeping over everything in vicinity for signs of danger, even though they were in a small room, and the most danger she was in was the cat who could be having a bad day. His eyes were a bright hazel with concern, and then his gaze averted to her thumb, which was suspended near her collarbone.
"It's just a paper cut," she said softly, the corners of her mouth twitching upwards—a sight to James that can only be associated with the most divine of sun rises.
He held out his hand, and gestured for Lily to place her hand on his. She placed a small airbrushed hand onto his that has already been molded by her touch and barely hid her grin. James fought a blush that burned bright crimson on his face after contact with her, a feeling only she can spark from the deep waters of his heart.
"Your other hand, love," he said, smirking, eyes shining with adoration behind his glasses.
Lily obliged. The blood was trickling down her hand now, and for now it was a shadow of an afterthought; right now what captivated her was the James's tough-looking nose, the smooth, ivory planes of his chiseled cheek bones, and the delicious curve of his lower lip.
What James did next astounded her. He raised her hand to his mouth and licked off her cut. Her jade eyes opened wide, and shock was etched onto the corners of her eyes and mouth.
"James! What are you doing!" she gasped. He looked up at her and frowned.
"You were hurt," he said simply.
"Didn't you listen —I mean a simple charm — disease —" Lily spluttered.
"You know," he said quietly, his voice laced with tenderness, "it's not necessarily a bad thing if I die by your blood." Lily closed her mouth.
