(Please read) Author's notes:
Wow I haven't posted in a while. Anyways, I got inspired by Tumblr to write some Monster Falls fan fiction. Monster Falls is probably one of my favorite AUs of all time. This is kind of a drabble. I didn't have a clear idea or a plan for this story, I kinda just started writing.
Also: I am going to pretend that this takes place before Not What He Seems because I can't write Ford to save my life.
Also: This is probably not entirely true to the Monster Falls canon, it's just a drabble.
Also: I don't own Gravity Falls, Monster Falls, and I defiantly don't own Dipper. (As much as I wish I did..)
Well, I hope you enjoy this one shot!
Five days...
120 hours...
7,200 minutes...
432,000 seconds...
432,001...
432,002...
432,003...
It's been five whole days since Dipper's transformation. Five very long, and very strange days. He had to keep reminding himself that Gravity Falls wasn't exactly a normal place. Everyone knew how odd the town was, but no body predicted anything like this.
Well, no one predicted it to happen quite this fast.
Everyone in town practically became monsters in a span of time so short, you'd swear it was overnight. People who used to call themselves human beings were now beasts- literally beasts! Merely twisted and unnatural molds of their former selves. Gravity Falls became a place where tails were the norm and flat teeth were a rarity. You'd be considered lucky if you could look in the mirror without getting frightened. Most were feared creatures, mouths full of fangs, bodies covered in matted fur. Some of them could be guaranteed to give nightmares to grown adults...
Dipper was not one of those people...
To put it bluntly- he was adorable. His ears were almost half the size of his head, and flopped downward in a resting position. The tips of said ears were covered in small white speckles, the same speckles could be seen scattered across his face and along his back. His whole lower body was replaced with that of a deer's. He resembled a centaur, with four thin legs, and a fluffy tail. Despite this, he was still almost the exact same height as he was when he classified as human. Dipper had sad excuses for antlers. His horns were so small that you wouldn't notice them if he didn't point them out. There was almost nothing about Dipper that could be considered threatening. A kick from his hooves might cause a little pain, but that was about it.
No height gain...
No antlers...
No nothing...
This might be slightly annoying to the boy, but it was the least of his problems. He was still just trying to acquainted with his new body. Walking with four legs was surprisingly difficult. Waddles makes it look so easy... And falling down the stairs wasn't an uncommon occurrence for him. Dipper's ears and tail moved indecently, almost like they had minds of their own. They would twitch up every time silence would break, even if the noise was as small
as the drop of a pen. The child didn't even entertain the idea of going outside alone because of all of the wolves and hunters and whatnot.
Dipper absolutely hated being a faun... Or a deertaur... Or whatever it is he was! He didn't feel like a monster and he certainly wasn't human. Just like always, he had no place to fit in. He was different. He always had been different. It's about time he embraced it.
Sorry about the ending. I ran out of things to write and lost motivation. I promise, the original plan was not to have this be a sad story, it just sorta happened... Yeah that's all... Thank you so much for reading this far.
