Percy's POV

I trudged through the rain with my head down and one of my hands in the pocket of my hoodie. The other hand held a bouquet of flowers. I had only been outside for a couple of minutes but I was already soaked to the bone. I refused to stay dry. I didn't deserve it.

I reached the graveyard and opened the gate. I found the graves of my friends and kneeled in front of them.

Seven demigods. Seven amazing, bright, young demigods are dead and it's all my fault. I was too weak. I couldn't protect them from Gaia and I couldn't help them when they needed me.

I placed a flower on Piper's grave. Brave Piper who stood in front of us all and tried to use her charmspeak to help us and then saved me from being killed by a hellhound by pushing me away and being hit by the attack herself.

Next was Frank. As I placed a flower on his grave I remembered how much I admired him. His whole life depended on a stick yet he always managed to be happy and encourage us. He was killed by an arrow as he protected Hazel.

I placed a flower on Hazel's grave. Hazel was like a little sister to me. She would always be there when I needed her and always wore a smile even though she had lost everything. The same monster that had killed Frank had killed her while she was crying over his body.

Reyna had also died. Killed by an arrow through her lungs. She was an amazing leader and friend. She never let anyone down and would always protect her friends. I placed a flower on her grave before moving on to the next one.

Jason was like my brother. I placed a flower on his grave and remembered how he would always support me and never doubt me. He was always so kind and caring. He had been killed by another demigod who was helping the giants.

By now I was crying so hard that my body was shaking.

Next came Leo. He always laughed and told jokes no matter how bad or sad the situation was. That is probably what kept us going on our crazy quest. He had always blamed himself for his mother's death and had been drowned in a lake.

Finally I placed my last flower on Annabeth grave. She was the love of my life and I couldn't believe she was gone. She was always there with me. She never left me. We even went through Tartarus together but because of my stupid mistakes she was dead. As we were fighting Gaia I tried blocking a sword gay she threw at me but I missed and it flew past me and hit Annabeth square in the chest.

I stepped back and let my tears flow down my face. They were all dead. I would never see them again. I'm completely alone.

Clint's POV

Director Fury stood in front of the Avengers looking even angrier then usual. (If that's even possible.) He had called a meeting for the Avengers a couple of minutes ago saying nothing except for "This could turn out to be more trouble then the war against Loki."

Now as we sit waiting for him to start I know that all of us are wondering the same thing. What could ever turn out to be more trouble than the war?

"I've called you here today because of a threat. His name is Perseus Jackson and he is 18 years old. "Fury stated.

As soon as he heard the name Thor SQUEALED -yes squealed- and clapped his hands together.

We all stared at him and Fury raised an eyebrow. "Do you know him Thor?"

Thor collected himself and said "No. I do not recall whom we are speaking about." It was obvious that he was lying and we all stared at him with skeptical looks. Thor just sat there smiling.

Eventually Tony spoke up. "You mean to tell me that SHEILD thinks an 18 year old kid is a threat?"

Before Fury could respond Thor answered his question. "Do not underestimate him friend Stark. He is stronger then he seems."

"Thor is right. This kid has managed to hide from SHEILD since he was twelve and has never lasted a full year in school." Fury said. "My sources tell me he lives in New York City so, I want you to catch him and bring him back here."

At that Thor laughed. "That is impossible. He will slip out of our fingers like water." He then sat back looking pleased with himself as if he just said a great joke.

As I looked around the room I could tell that the others were as perplexed about his behavior as I was.

"You have your mission. Now get out there!" Fury exclaimed.

As we suited up and left Stark Towers I voiced the thought that was on all our minds.

"How are we going to find this kid?"

Percy's POV

I trudged back to my mom's apartment where she lives with my step-dad Paul. She was the one who suggested that I visit my friends' graves but it had just made me feel worse. I'm just glad that I didn't get a flashback otherwise he might have shown up.

As I walked to the door of the apartment I instantly knew something was wrong.

I slowly uncapped riptide and nudged the door. It was unlocked. Not a good sign. I quickly sent a prayer to any god that was listening to please let my mom and step-dad be safe. I had lost enough people already.

As I stepped through the doorway I froze at the sight before me. The entire apartment was thrashed. Not a single thing was left. I ran into the kitchen looking for my parents but didn't see them anywhere.

Just as I was about to go check somewhere else I noticed a trail of blood leading to my room. I tightened my grip on riptide and lifted it higher.

I stepped into my room and couldn't believe the sight before my eyes. My parents were lying on the floor of my bedroom as still as statues.

"No no no no no no! This can't be happening!" I yelled as I ran up to my mom. I checked for a pulse but couldn't find anything. Refusing to give up I ran over to Paul and checked his pulse too. There was nothing.

My hands were shaking and I was trembling. My vision was blurry so I touched my face and found it wet.

I can't stay here, I have to leave! I thought. I turned around and just as I was going to run out of the room I noticed a note on the floor.

Dear Perseus,
You murdered my leader so I killed your parents. Now we're even puny half-blood
.

I ripped the note to shreds, trying to take out all my anger on that tiny piece of paper. The note hadn't been signed but I knew that this was the work of a monster.

I ran out of the building knowing I could never return.

I didn't even know where I was going I just kept running trying to get away from it all.

I was weak and useless. I couldn't protect anyone. I didn't deserve to be called a hero.

I kept stumbling and falling until eventually I just stayed down. I looked around and saw that I was in an ally. I leaned against the wall and cried my heart out.

When I couldn't cry anymore I got mad. I punched the wall so hard my knuckles started bleeding. The pain was excruciating and I could barely keep myself from passing out.

Why am I resisting? If I pass out it will be less painful. I thought.

I let the pain overcome me and closed my eyes as the world went black.

Well that's the first chapter! I was crying as I wrote this! Please don't kill me! What do you think will happen next? Review please!
