A spinoff of my story Her Eyes. A little Father's Day gift so to say. (And in case it appears tomorrow than a belated Father's Day story)

Esteban was relaxing with his father in their living room watching the World Cup. Leigh was asleep upstairs, or at least he hoped she was. "Hey Papi, you think I made the right decision with Leigh? I mean this whole thing is very dangerous."

Papi turned to look at him, his father looked so proud, his eyes full of love. "It makes you happier to have her here with us. Even Mami can't wait to meet her. Yea keeping her was pretty stupid, but you've covered your tracks and everything is falling into place.

"I love her to be honest, she's hilarious to be around. Caine isn't coming anywhere near us. So as far as I'm concerned, you made the right decision. She lights you up. And as long as you're happy then I'm happy. Plus the danger adds in more suspense. And things have been very boring lately."

Esteban smiled at this. Leave it to Papi to make him feel better in any situation. Throughout the last few months, every day with Leigh felt like he was doing something wrong. Papi has always made him feel like he's worth so much more.

Leigh makes him happier than anything else. For Papi to say he loves Leigh, makes Esteban feel happy. "Te amo Papi" is all he could say to express his feelings.

"Te amo mi hijo" Papi says back and the embrace. "Now enough with feelings let's get on with the game." Papi responds with a smile.

"Yea, the game." Esteban responds, heart lighter than it was five minutes ago.
