Any minute.

Sakura wiped the stray tears from her eyes. She didn't notice the rain pounding on her skin, soft drumming noises coming from the little splatters that landed around her. She didn't notice the grass whistle in the breeze, swaying her hair to match its rhythm. Instead, she noticed the grey stone in front of her, surrounded by so many more that looked exactly the same. The only differences were the names. Each had different words and letters, spelling out the names of a Shinobi that someone once held dear.

Any minute.

The graveyard was quiet; not many people stayed out so late just to stare at a lump of marble rock. It felt weird, knowing that his bones were six feet beneath her, decaying in the soil while everything above lived on. She shifted slightly, never taking her gaze from the tombstone.

Hatake Kakashi.

That was all that was written on the plaque. Nothing else. How ironic, working your entire life to serve a village and not be commemorated. His name. Nothing but his name. Nothing about his achievements. Nothing about those who missed him the most. Nothing about how valuable he had been to his village. The copy-nin, in bingo books around the world... Commemorated with only a lump of rock.

Any minute

She expected him to walk up behind her and tap her on the shoulder, say something like "Sorry I'm late. I got lost on the path of life," and smile that crinkly eyed smile all the while. That was it. He was just late. She would wait. He would be hear soon.

"Any minute."

Yes, I know Kakashi isn't dead anymore. But this came to me when I thought he was.. Because I was saying it over and over in my head. "He'll be back any minute!" and it turns out, I wasn't just deluding myself. :P

If this was bad, I'd like to know! Thanks for reading.
