Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters from Dracula. They belong to Bram Stoker.

Author's Note: This is just a drabble. I had to read the novel for a class and as a quiz/prompt, we had to write in the eyes of Dracula while Van Helsing and the group were tracking the Nosferatu down. I spruced it up a bit. Again, it's very short.

Never in my entire life have I seen such insolate, yet determined human beings. We are rapidly approaching my native soil and humble domain. The closer we come, the more power I will gain. It's only a matter of time. Soon enough… They will all become my slaves, bending to my various whims. If any so happen to harm me in any aspect, then my men or myself will seek justice. My power is greater, far greater than they could ever comprehend. I do admire how they make a futile attempt to prevail, however. The feeling is absolutely exquisite. As for now, I bide my time and patience.

My eyes see all as the river roars in utmost fury, carrying us closer to the final destination. The nights are long as the moon casts its luminescent glow. It's not as nearly as dark compared to the eternal blackness within my coffin. I have no need to worry. The plans are forming in a pleasant manner. A grin curls my lips, fangs elongated. I know for a fact that they're using the woman, whom belongs to me, as a tool. I scoff at their ignorance. I know that she can see what I seer, hear what I hear, and perhaps even feel what I feel. Even if the troublesome professor makes a jest to hypnotize her with peculiar sciences, he will only receive incoherent babble such as 'dark' and 'roaring'.

Hearty laughter erupts from my current resting place. It's far too entertaining to toy with these beings like a group of rag dolls. It's amazing how the human will and mind can break. Truly profound… Death rapidly approaches this evening. It's only a matter of time.
