It started with the uprising.
People lost,
People go.
The arrow flew through the air at the speed of light.
The Games was taken down,
The Capital fell.
So many friends were lost,
Yet they still live in our hearts.
A young girl volunteered for her sister.
Laid her life down,
Said goodbye to everyone she ever cared for.
Met the boy who saved her life,
Fell in love.
Kissed him to save them both.
Lied about so much to please Snow.
Thrown back into the Games,
Found out she has it much better.
Became friends with District four's Finnick.
Lost her best friend,
Lost the one who loved her the most.
Lost the only one who seemed to believe she could win anything.
Watched in horror as her friend Cinna was killed.
Yet,
Moved on and said goodbye.
Lost her home,
The love of her life,
And yet is still fighting.
The arrow flew from her bow.
Stood tall like a tower,
Tough as nails.
The Girl on Fire was what people called her.
Standing up for herself, for her family.
Gave up her own for her sister,
Only to watch her blown to dust.
Girl on Fire still stands.
Scars may cover,
And own her body.
She still is strong.
She still fights;
For Primrose,
And for her best friend Gale,
For those who died for her to live on.
For the one who saved her with the burnt bread,
For her Peeta
