Summary: My friend dared me I couldn't write a two page story about rainbows in under 5 minutes. I took the challenge and here is the result.
The yard rainbows. Written in four and half minutes.
Hi there! My name is Tommy Mik Rainbow, and I am apart of the North Rainbows of Vermont.
I know this may sound weird, but I don't like being a rainbow... it's really a tough job. But I guess someone must do it, right?
As a rainbow, you have jobs assigned to you based on your colors and form.
I, for example, am a yard rainbow. And I ha- what's that? You don't know what a yard rainbow is?
Well I'm sorry, let me explain. See, the five most known rainbow jobs are,
1: The sky rainbow.
– The sky rainbow fights off all the mean rain clouds pouring their cold rain on everything they see.
2: The gold rainbows.
-They protect gold from those who don't deserve it and give others a colorful path to follow. Those who may be in need of a good pot of gold.
3: The dancing rainbows.
-These guys dance across the sky, giving others a beautiful sight to behold.
4: The yard rainbows. (That's me)
-Us yard rainbows wait in the yards of human houses and fields and protect the humans and cars and even animals from and water that may decided to spring up and attack them.
And,
5: The night rainbows.
-Night rainbows come out at night, mostly in the North Pole to give light to lost travelers. Sometimes they are called the northern lights.
But there are so many other rainbows out there it's hard to name them all.
As a yard rainbow, I have protected many children who have been attack by evil water hoses and the sprinklers of death. Those poor kids, screaming in pain and running around as the water hits them over and over, it's horrible to watch!
But that's when I step in; I battle the water and protect those kids with all my power, flashing my pretty lights around the yard as we fight to the death.
Sometimes, you'll hear the children point to me and say, "Look mommy! A Rainbow!" and I'll smile and spin so they can see all my colors and shapes.
But of course, I won. I always win, why is that? Well... because I am the always the hero!
I am,
A Rainbow.
