A/N: Hey there! This is a small poem that I wrote a while back when I was thinking of my favorite X-Man. X3
I will at some point in the future write a fic that will have this poem incorporated into it, in the mean time; I figured I'd post this to see what kind of response it got. ;D
Kurt must be carrying a HUGE amount of emotional baggage, I mean really! Not only is he a mutant, but everyone at first glance is terrified of him! It's that thinking that inspired this poem written in his point of view. It's short, but sweet. I hope you like it. :]
...
When I see your eyes,
I see disgust, I see hatred,
I see fear, and another piece of me dies.
It's such a tolerant nation,
Such an excepting land,
You're fine with anyone who is just like you,
But for me, your lies blow away like sand.
I am different, I am strange,
I am the thing that haunts your nightmares,
I am the evil you feel compelled to cage.
You call me devil, you call me demon,
You call me monster,
You want to hurt me; after all, I'm just vermin.
I scare you, I make you scream,
I am always seen differently, even by my own team.
So I will look just like you, I will hide,
But not just so you will accept me,
I will do it, because I'm terrified.
...
If you read it, please review. Don't be the person who reads and doesn't drop the author a line. It will take two seconds; so please...Make my day.
Because they really do! When I wake up, my entire day brightens up if I see someone reviewed my work.
SO! Review! And I hope you enjoyed. C:
