Author's Note: So, this was my first story I ever created here for our FanFiction pleasure, and I stepped away for a while after some hectic life events. I recently went back and read it; while I still adore it and I'm super proud of it (and sooo thankful for all of you amazing readers who supported it from the beginning!), there were still some issues I wanted to fix. At the same time, I didn't want to lose all of the amazing support that you guys have provided me and the story. So this is what I've done! Enjoy this new and improved version of the Fire And Ice Series under its new name, Brimstone.
Pairing: Derek Hale/OC (endgame!)
-Face Claim: Lily Collins
Rating: Fiction M- for language, adult themes/situations, fighting/violence/gore/death, frightening creatures, some graphic content/material, some underage drinking (don't do it!), emotional situations, creature shifting/phasing, etc.
*Warning!: This story does feature a leading OC character, and will follow along with most episode events. I'll be posting episode content, but trying my best not to make it a rereading of dialogue straight from the series. For further notes, see below!
Feel free to favorite, follow, review, and promote the story/fandom! I appreciate and love story feedback and suggestions, along with constructive criticism, but please keep any story flaming/hating and bullying to yourself. There are thousands of stories out there, if this one isn't for you, that's alright! :D
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Teen Wolf (TV Series, webisodes, etc.) or its characters. It belongs to the wonderful authors, creators, directors, producers, and whoever else has a hand in its development! I also do NOT own anything trademarked/copyrighted, etc., material that may be mentioned here. I only own my OC('s) and my personal plot bunnies! Thanks for reading, and enjoy!

Revelations
Outside the home on the hill, the world was bright.
The sky was a perfect shade of cornflower blue, with a smattering of fluffy white clouds that one could lay upon the grass and gaze at, picking out the rough patterns of forest creatures and barnyard animals within. The breeze was light, a crisp reminder that autumn was approaching, with winter winds following close behind. But behind the panes of a single, picturesque bay window, the scene was much different. The bedroom there was shrouded in shadows, curtains pulled impossibly tight, refusing even the slimmest ray of sunshine. The air was still and the temperature was cool, only aiding in the room's dreary atmosphere. Silence reigned, the kind that was so heavy, you could practically hear it throb within your ears. The only sounds were that of an heirloom grandfather clock, ticking away the day's seconds somewhere down the hallway.
And the shallow breaths of the girl.
Her body was hardly visible, just a lump burrowed and hidden among a pile of blankets and pillows. She was deathly pale, her skin almost translucent with how sickly and ashen she appeared. She shivered between breaths, a dangerous rattle echoing within the cavity of her chest with each inhale, her eyes fixed ahead without blinking. Their color, once a lively and mischievous green, had dulled considerably and seemed trapped, stuck within their dead haze. The tip of her nose was blotchy and red, her lips bruised from the way she had anxiously bitten at them, the sensitive skin cracked and dried where they had split and bled. And her hair, once full of volume and rich in its brunette hue, was stringy and tangled; matted from her fingers raking through it haphazardly, greasy from the lack of washing. She was the very picture of a soul, lost and broken, moment by moment simply wasting away.
"Is this really the best idea?"
The question was uttered quietly, a feminine voice hushed in the low flicker of a few candles, tainted with both fear and concern. Nervous eyes watched on as the woman's hands worked, mixing herb with herb, murmuring words in a foreign tongue lightly beneath her breath. Sure and skilled fingers poured the milky liquid into small bowl, one that could easily be used for sipping.
"Do you honestly see another option?" A man answered with his own question, imploring her to tell him of a different way.
It was a double-edged sword, the predicament they found themselves caught up in. Left as she was, the fourteen year-old girl would soon wither away into a state of less than living, an empty husk of who she had once been. Should the brewed concoction be swallowed and left to act, it would steal away all conscious memory containing the source of her despair; the flames, the eyes, the loss. No, he was right, despite the tremor lacing his soothing voice.
They didn't have a choice.

Information/Warnings
Updates: I know it's been much too long since this has been cared for, and I apologize for that. I sincerely thank all of you who have read and enjoyed this story, my first writing baby. I hope that you continue to do so as I post the newly edited chapters. I'll be posting previous content first, simply edited and added to. I encourage you to reread because I'll be adding content and changing some things up. After I've finished posting previous content, I'll post the new stuff! I'm hoping to cover episodes in two/three chapters, if I can manage that! Most all chapters will be over two thousand words, if I keep my muse on track!
New Name: Fire and Ice seemed a tad juvenile to me, like I just threw it up there because I wasn't sure what to call it. This new title kind of works with the story I'm creating, and the characters!
Flashbacks: There will be some flashbacks for multiple characters, I'll do most of that in italics.
AU/OOC: There will be some aspects of both in this story. I really want to embellish on the supernatural world, giving you a deeper look than what we see throughout the series, and definitely the first season. Later on, some traits of the wolves might change a bit. And my take on Derek won't be secluded to broody, snappy and sarcastic. My main OC character (Christen) is actually based off a friend of mine, for the most part. She's a lot of the reason I even came up with this story. So, here's to her!
Shipping: Some names have already been established, but I'm always willing to hear more! I believe Dersten was a reader favorite among you guys!
Age: I'm aging her a year ahead of the typical age for Sophomores. It just makes pairing her with Derek a bit more comfortable. Derek will also be a bit younger than the assumed age.
-Christen: 17
-Derek: 22
Review Responses: I've answered reviews on updates in the past, but I'll be switching it up a bit. Guest reviews will be answered on updates, and account reviews will be PM'ed!
Special Content: A friend of mine has an account or two here, SassyShots, and she created a Tumblr to feature cool things for her stories. Picture edits, aesthetics, playlist suggestions and the like. I'm going to see if she would mind featuring some content for Brimstone, and other stories I have here! Feel free to check her Tumblr out at SassyfiedScribbles, and to check her awesome stories out on her account here! You can find her username in my list of favorite authors if you're interested!
No Beta to be had here, I'm doing this on my own! Any mistakes that get to you, please message me!
