Dig always knew that Felicity Smoak was something special. From the moment she had run into the basement of Verdant, blood on her hands and fear in her eyes, he knew that he would never again meet a woman like the blonde IT girl.

"Can you help me? He's really heavy."

Of all the things to say with a gun pointed at her head, those were the words she had chosen.

Words. She seemed to have a lot of those. The poor girl was constantly babbling, whether it be about a nasty experience with a grocer or accidentally making innuendos towards Oliver. Dig chuckled to himself. The poor girl was so in love with Starling's vigilante, it was a wonder the whole city didn't know.

It had been interesting to watch, he'd say that much. The way her glances towards him slowly showed something more. The way her touches grew softer and lingered longer. He noticed the way she brightened when Oliver walked into the room.

If only he would notice.

If only he saw the way her eyes flickered towards him when he wasn't looking. If only he saw the way she recoiled whenever he mentioned a past love affair. If only he saw the pain in her eyes as she watched him smile at Sara, never even noticing the IT girl with glasses, desperately pretending that she didn't care.

It was ironic how the Arrow, seemingly omniscient when it came to stopping crime, managed to not notice how much Felicity was in love with him.

Leaning back in his chair, Dig looked at Oliver and Felicity, standing on the other side of the basement. Roy was out of town and Sara was on a shopping date with Laurel, leaving the three of them, the original Team Arrow, with the night to themselves.

Oliver and Felicity were talking, but they were too far away for Dig to hear what they were saying. It was obvious that Felicity was talking about something she cared about because her hands were all over the place. Her mouth was running at a thousand miles per hour, bright pink lips moving and arms flailing.

Oliver was leaning up against the table, without a shirt on of course, a small smile on his face as he chuckled. Every once in a while his mouth would open as he would comment and Felicity's smile would stretch even wider before she dove back into whatever tangent she was on.

Suddenly, Queen Consolidating's CEO let out a booming laugh and the IT girl blushed bright red. Dig would've bet good money that she had just made an unintentional innuendo. The fact that Oliver kept laugh, bending over, his hand on his stomach and his shoulder shaking with mirth, made Dig assume that it was a bad one, too.

Felicity slapped the billionaire playboy on the arm indignantly, redder than ever. Oliver finally stopped laughing, and with a devilish smirk on his face, said something that turned the blonde girl into a tomato.

"OLIVER QUEEN, YOU KISS YOUR MOTHER WITH THAT MOUTH?" she roared.

Chuckling, Dig realized continued to watch the two as they bantered back and forth, Felicity coaxing a smile out of the vigilante that he never saw around anyone else.

Yes, Felicity Smoak was something special. He just hoped that it didn't take a bullet to her head for Oliver to realize that.
