A/N: Drabble written a while back on a notebook or something. I really like it, so there might be continuation sometime in the near or distant future.

I loves me some Sibling!fluff

"Kaito-nii?" a soft voice whimpered from the crack in the door. The lack of light seeping in from said crack hinted that one, it was late and two, the blonde speaker was the only one awake. The man rubbed his eyes and sat up

"Come in" he replied through a yawn.

The boy nodded obediently, and crept in. He rocked on the soles of his feet uncertainly, big blue eyes staring at the ground, ashamed of what he was about to do. "Nii-chan, c-can I stay here tonight?" he whispered.

Kaito took note of the plush banana his little brother was clutching, an object the teen would never admit to liking since he was 'too old' for such things. The way he held it was reminiscent of a scared child, and because of this –and the way Len's lower lip trembled after he had spoken– his face wrinkled with concern "Did you have a bad dream?"

Len nodded as he crawled in next to him, making himself comfortable in his brother's arms. Smiling, he allowed himself to drift away, knowing that for as long as Kaito was around, he had nothing to fear.

On the other side of the world, an alarm clock buzzed to life. A moment later, its exasperated owner slammed his fist against it, and when that didn't silence the shrill buzzing, he removed it from the socket. Now wide awake, Kaito ran his fingers through his cerulean locks, shaking as the finer details of his dream resurfaced into his mind. He wondered why, after all this time, the memory still haunted him. What happened wasn't his fault. There wasn't anything he could have done, even if he had stayed up the entire night to watch over his little brother. Maybe the inescapability of the situation was why he still couldn't forgive himself.

He could recall waking up the next morning panic-stricken at the slight chill in his younger brother's flesh. Tears welled in his eyes as he remembered the way his throat closed up and his heart shattered just a few hours later when the doctors told him that Len –precious little Len– had died in his sleep.
