His hair sparkles and shines. Sometimes the gloom of her upcoming N.E.W.T.s hang overhead, but he always manages to brighten her day with a simple smile. When he touches her, Lucy gets warm all over. And when things get really hot, there's always that familiar humming in her ears.
Her quill scratches, pauses, scribbles something out, and then begins its speedy race across the parchment once more.
Her hair is slipping out of its bun, the strands slowly gathering on the side of her head. The tips gently brush the table.
"Weasley," the voice makes her jump. "Slow down, the world isn't ending, and…" the blonde glances at the paper. "That assignment isn't due for another week."
"You know I like to keep on top of things." The boy's lips pull up in a smirk.
"Of course I know that." He winks.
She turns her blushing face back to the desk, trying to ignore the dazzling shine reflecting off of his platinum hair. Her quill taps impatiently. "Now I've lost my train of thought, thank you very much." She tries to make her voice sound annoyed, but they both know she doesn't really mind at all.
She gives up and drops the quill on the table. She notices the untidy state of her hair and begins to return it to its proper place.
His hand stops hers. "I like it down." The playfulness that his voice had contained is gone now.
Her heart speeds up, thumping wildly in her chest. He's so close and she can feel his breath on her face, and she can't take it anymore- she presses her lips to his. He moans against her mouth and returns the pressure without any hesitation.
Schwap.
Lucy jumps back and looks into Madame Pince's face, embarrassed but not at all regretful. Scorpius just smiles at Lucy, not even acknowledging the furious librarian.
"The two Heads, I cannot believe that students of such stature would so blatantly break the rules in my library. 30 points from each of you." She stalks away, glancing back to glare at the two students hurrying out of her library hand in hand.
As Lucy gets lost in her mind and the bowels of her beloved castle with her vivacious lover, she thinks to herself, Life is better on the sunny side.
