"Scoot!" Rose swatted playfully at The Doctor who was splayed out over the couch. Begrudgingly he pulled up his feet, giving Rose enough room to sit down. It was movie night for Rose and The Doctor. Rose said they had to slow down every once in a while so it was now a rule in the TARDIS that ever second Friday they would sit down on the couch and watch a bit of television. The Doctor reluctantly agreed but not before making a fuss, "But sitting still is so boring!" The Doctor tried reasoning with Rose as she skimmed through the many DVD's in the purple CD case she packed with all her other belongings. "I don't want to hear it. We are watching a movie and that's final." Rose attempted a serious face but ended up breaking into a fit of giggles.
"Fine." The Doctor crossed his arms, though he had a smile on his face as well, "Which movie?" The Doctor raised an eye brow.
"Romeo and Juliet? The one with Leonardo Dicaprio though." Rose pulled the CD out of the case and slotted it into the DVD player; not waiting for a reply from The Doctor.
"Good Ole' Shakespeare! I haven't met him yet. We have to put that on the list of things to see!" The Doctor exclaimed as Rose sat back down, so close their arms were touching. They both pretended not to notice without much luck. The Doctor changed from his usual suit into a very plain t shirt and jeans. Rose was wearing a tank top with grey track suite pants. Another rule Rose had set was that when they were spending the day inside The Doctor wasn't allowed to wear either of the 2 suits he owned. He didn't mind so much because it means when they sat close enough to touch arms, it was skin to skin. "I um… Love this movie." The Doctor tried to fill in the silence and remedy the obvious tension. Rose looked away trying to hide a smile. She loved when he got nervous. "Oh relax would you." In a spur of the moment Rose grabbed The Doctor's arm and draped it over her; resting her head on his chest. She felt the tension in him diminish after a few moments. They sat comfortably for a while, The Doctor subconsciously ran a finger in circles over Rose's arms, giving her goose bumps. The room was dim, the only light coming from the TV. This gave Rose some courage. Hesitantly she looked up at him through her lashes. The Doctor was already staring at her. Slowly he brought his lips to hers brushing them softly. After a moment he pulled back, cleared his throat and looked back towards the TV. Rose turned away as well pretending to watch the movie; a small smile playing on her lips. Sitting still isn't so bad is it? Rose thought, grinning ear to ear.
