Hello guys! This is my first fan fiction and it features my character Monkey D. Riley. I hope you guys enjoy!
Luffy held his daughter in his arms as she slept. She had fallen asleep little while ago while he had been walking her around. He ran his fingers through her black, shiny hair.
He shifted her a bit and felt her bones. No, not her ribs or her backbone, but light hollow bones on her side.
Just like bird bones. In fact, they were exactly like a birds bones. Luffy moved her even more so that he was holding her out in front of him as far as he could without using his Devil Fruit power. As he did so he could see glimpses of her tiny, off-white wings showing on her back.
Her mother has a Devil Fruit too. Whether this is always the case or not, Luffy didn't know but, some how his daughter got a part of his ability and part of her mother's ability too.
From Luffy she of course got the ability to stretch like rubber. But unlike him, she can't repel bullets and can be hurt by blunt surfaces. She has to think about stretching. From her mother, she got her power in the form of wings, hollow type bones (look up what bird bones are like to understand if you don't already), just like a bird.
As of the moment, he couldn't remember what the name of the bird fruit was, but he did know it was powerful and strong.
And even though she was only five years old it was already plain to see that she wasn't like most girls her age.
While most girls are playing with their dolls or playing house, she was seeing how much she could carry while flying.
Luffy didn't exactly like the idea that she was possibly missing out on part of her childhood, but he couldn't stop her from what she called, 'honing' her skills. She was just like him when he was her age. Stubborn, headstrong, hard-headed, and adamant.
She trained with her best friend, Aya, almost everyday. She could carry Aya and herself all over this island with her wings- and would if she was allowed.
He brushed his fingers along her cream colored wings, making them flutter slightly in her sleep. When they were fully spread out they reached to be about six feet, and still growing. When she wasn't using them, or sleeping (she liked them spread open slightly while she sleeps) they were normally folded up into slits on her sides.
Yes. Monkey D. Riley was defiantly different, but what exactly would you expect from the Second Pirate Kings daughter?
