I actually wrote a 100% serious story this time. I usually don't do this kinda stuff but I couldn't help myself. This is basically my interpretation of how I think things went the day Goten was born.
This isn't how it should be….
ChiChi thought sadly. You were supposed to be here. A tear trickled down her cheek, she knew very well, why he wasn't there. Gohan can into the hospital room with her father. Ox King had his large hands set reassuringly on the young boy's shoulders as he guided him into the room. My poor Gohan, she thought, he hasn't smiled since his father left.Gohan walked up to his mother's bed. "How ya do'n mom?"
ChiChi quickly wiped the tear from her face and smiled. She hid her sadness well. This is a happy day, she told herself, I should be happy, I just had another son.
Her father came to her side; he placed his hand on her forehead and smiled. "ChiChi, we just saw him, he's wonderful."
ChiChi had fallen asleep before she could see him and was anxious to see her child, but she couldn't stop thinking of Goku. She pushed back tears again; she couldn't stop thinking of him. Oh Goku, why aren't you here? You said you'd come back. Her eyes dropped to the floor. Why did you choose to stay? You could have come back. You could have been here. ChiChi's eyes began to water up but she pushed the tears back once again. She looked up a her older son, my poor Gohan you shouldn't be so stricken with remorse, she smiled weakly and touched his hand. Gohan seemed unresponsive.
The moment was broken by a nurse walking into the room. She placed a bundle in ChiChi arms. "You were asleep by the time we finished cleaning him." She said as she left the room.
ChiChi held the baby in her arms and carefully uncovered it's face. A mess of black hair was revealed. ChiChi gently brushed back the hair and stared into the baby's face. The child cooed and opened his eyes. They were dark like ebony; he had all of his father's characteristics. ChiChi started to cry again, this time it wasn't in sorrow. It was in happiness, that Goku had left part of himself behind. Something to stay with her in his absence.
"What are you going to name him, ChiChi?" Her father asked.
"What do you think, Gohan?" ChiChi said turning to her son. Tears were still rolling down her face, but she was smiling.
Gohan wavered for a moment; he stared at his younger brother. The child was almost an exact miniature of his father. "Goten." He finally said. Then, for the first time since before the Cell Game, Gohan smiled an actual smile.
The End
Yea I know it was short. Sorry about that.
And yes, it was a bit sappy, but that's ChiChi for ya. No offense intended.
