A/N: Was listening to my iPod and this song came on. It's by a band called PLASTIC iMAGE. They are AWESOME! The lead singer is the step-son of one of my friends I work with. (No, I'm not THAT old! I'm somewhere in between the two of them, okay? Actually, nine years both ways...cool.) Anyway, you can check out their official website on MySpace.

Disclaimer: I don't own Zack but I have joint custody of Andria with dantesdarkqueen...'kay? 'Kay.

She rarely did this.

Usually during storms she stayed inside, safe from the thunder, safe from the lightening. The loud booming rattling the pictures on the walls had scared her since she was a little girl. In fact, this was something that a little girl would be doing; not a seventeen year old young woman. It was rather immature; but right now, she didn't care.

The soft rain showers reminded her of her father for some reason. Andria could almost imagine the soft drops of water against her face were his fingertips tracing her features in proud wonderment. And so, here on the rooftop of her apartment building, face turned toward the weeping sky, Andria danced; arms spread, eyes closed, completely unashamed of her behavior. Dancing in the rain was her way of dancing with her father, Zack.

A strong hand grasped hers and she smiled, eyes still closed as she was pulled against the familiar yet unfamiliar chest. Another hand on her waist as they began to twirl, rain dripping from their hair and faces; dancing perfectly to the unheard song known only to the two of them.

In actuality, they were strangers. They had never met in life and yet, they knew each other so well. Their movements were in perfect sync as they danced, as much a part of the rain shower as the rain itself. Opening her eyes now, Andria smiled up at her father as he twirled her out and spun her back in, pressing his forehead to hers and holding her close to him, unspoken words of love and adoration pouring out of every movement.

"And I watched you dance in the rain, like an angel who's just got her wings," Zack sang, the words to the unheard song pouring from his lips. Andria giggled as he twirled her under his arm, feeling like a princess in a soggy hoodie and ripped jeans, bare feet splashing in the rapidly forming puddles on the rooftop, red-streaked black hair plastered against her face and neck.

"And as I watched I felt nothing but pain, 'cause I lost the one, the only one who's ever cared about me," he continued.

"Not true," she said with a smile.

"Would you remember my face, would you remember my name?"

"Always," she answered, sad to see the sun streaking through the clouds, knowing their dance was almost at an end.

Pressing his forehead to hers again, he kissed her nose. "Til next time, Andi," he said, holding her hands as he stepped back, fading into the streams of sunlight.

"I'll be waiting," she said, watching as he left a smile on her lips as a white lily drifted from the stream of sunlight and landed at her feet. Picking it up, she breathed in its fragrance.

But all she could smell was the rain.

A/N: Yeah, I aged her by about seven years for this, but I couldn't get the image outta my head. The song fits them perfectly, though. (sigh) Okay, reviews are loved. Thx! ^_^
