Katara woke to the sound of Toph's screams. She got out of bed and ran to the place where Toph sleeps. She saw Sokka, Aang, and Zuko there already, Aang sitting beside Toph trying to comfort her.
"Toph, what happened?" she asked in full alarm. Toph looked her way, her teal blind eyes looking at her. "I don't know…I felt something there and I couldn't earthbend for some reason." Aang stared at her wide eyed. "You couldn't earthbend, why not?" he questioned. "I wish I knew Twinkletoes," was her response.
She laid back down, turning her back towards them. "It's okay," she said finally. "Don't worry about it. Go back to sleep." Katara looked over at Toph and knew she was scared. She decided not to say anything though, knowing Toph it would start an argument and she was too tired to argue.
Katara had left Toph's room, along with Aang, Zuko, and Sokka. Zuko looked over at Sokka. "Have any idea what she was talking about?" he asked him. Sokka shrugged. "No, but I suggest you all stay alert. We don't need anyone getting hurt." Zuko looked at Katara while Katara was looking at him. She turned away. He's been there for three weeks now and she still didn't trust him. She just couldn't. He had betray her and Katara wasn't going to allow herself to make the same mistake twice.
Everyone had gone back to bed, making sure to stay alert for whatever it was that was coming around. When Katara woke up, nobody else was awake. She decided she'd make breakfast. Zuko was awake about five minutes later. He walked out to the campsite to find Katara having a hard time with making the breakfast. "Need a hand?" he offered. Katara dropped the bowl she had in her hands. She turned around. "ZUKO!" she screamed at him. He stepped back, surprised she was yelling at him for asking her if she needed help.
Katara had picked up the bowl and poured the oatmeal. By this time, everyone was waking up, hungry and ready to eat. Haru, Teo, and The Duke got their meals first. They all thanked Katara and sat around the fire Zuko had made. It had been cold out today. Katara gave everyone a plate, except Zuko. "Um…Katara? What about me?" he asked. Katara walked on by like she hadn't heard him, even though she felt extremely bad. Zuko's face had this hurt expression, but soon, the hurt became anger. "FORGET IT! I'LL FIND MY OWN FOOD!" He got up and stormed off, his twin swords in hand. He soon disappeared into the forest. Katara looked down, she hoped he would be okay…
