Jude was staying with her mom. She couldn't stay in that apartment any longer. He was so infuriating.

She sighed. She loved him, there was no mistaking that. She loved him to bits.

But she just couldn't stand it when they fought. And it seemed like recently, all they'd been doing was fighting.

This was defiantly their worst, though.

She fiddled with her wedding ring.

They'd gotten married. She still couldn't believe that. Five years of fighting, flirting, and attempting to ignore their feelings for one another.

Five wasted years.

They'd cracked, eventually. They spent a month dating, and then just got married. What's the point in waiting, they reasoned.

She hadn't changed her name. Jude Quincy just didn't work.

They still fought, which is why she was at her mom's. Just for the night, she told herself.

She sighed, again, remembering their argument. It had started over something small, silly, but had escalated into something worse.

Basically, they were both insecure. He wasn't sure that she really loved him, and was convinced she'd leave him. She was sure he was just hanging around, just for a while. Another girl in every city, right?

Wrong.

She knew it; she just couldn't help those feelings. She knew he loved her, but insecurity was a big issue in their marriage.

Jude was just about to go to sleep, when Sadie burst into her room.

"Sadie. Go away, I'm tired!" Jude complained.

"Jude, you have to come downstairs with me!"

"Why?"

"Just come, I can't explain it, you have to see it!"

Jude got out of bed, and followed Sadie half heartedly down the stairs. When Sadie started to lead her outside, however, Jude protested.

"Jude, just shut up! There is something that you NEED to see." Sadie explained, opening the door. Jude followed her out onto the porch.

Tommy was outside. Jude looked over to Sadie, glaring.

"Why is he here?"

"I didn't bring him, he came by himself." Jude sighed, for the third time,

"What do you want…"

"Jude, shut up." Tommy said quietly. Jude looked livid.

That's when Tommy pulled out his guitar. Jude stared at him, puzzled.

"I was adrift, on an ocean all alone, you came and rescued me, when I was far from home." Jude felt her jaw drop. He was singing to her. He strummed the melody on the guitar.

"Nobody ever cared as much for me, nobody's touched my heart and healed my pain , you've picked up the pieces , and put me back together again." He finished. Her eyes filled with tears

He set the guitar down. They looked at each other for a minute, and then Jude ran down the stairs on the porch to him. She jumped on him, her arms around his neck, kissing him.

"I'm…..so…..sorry….about….." Tommy said, between kisses. Jude pulled away.

"Don't worry about it." She said, pulling him in for another kiss.

She went back home with him. They talked about their issues, agreed to try and work it out before fighting next time.

Then they went to bed.

Needless to say, nine months later they had another reason not to fight.
