The clock ticked, he sat with his US History book on his desk. He thought with condolence, his grandmother ill. The door shuttered open and only to hear the sound of the cane that kept her standing taller more than what she actually was. She creeched over to the desk at where the young boy was sitting.
"Maw, what are you doing?" exclaimed Matt. "You know I don't have long here much more Johny" said Jade. "Ooh Maw,I know". "Johny you're my favorite uncle and I always promised I wouldn't leave this world without being in your hands". She fail into his lap lying across his legs, looking up she smiled. "Maw". "Yes, Johny". "Do you know what today is?" "Is it my birthday?" Matt smiled, "Yes maw, you're 100". Her eyes glistened to nothing but tears. "Johny, may the heavens take me?" "Only if you wish Maw". The lights seemed to dim to Matt, his peers in devastation. Her eyes glisten no more for her soul was pure and it had left her amorphic body.
