Innocent girl with black hair blowing in the wind,

Screams echoing in a prison out at sea.

Looking from the eyes of a woman who has sinned,

How she longs to fly far, to fly free.

Young girl with violet eyes,

Empty soul chained to unforgiving rocks.

Beaten down by all her lies,

Bleeding heart trapped in iron locks.

Roaring winds drown out her pleas,

Pain is her only friend.

Never to be free, locked without keys,

Time and time, she wish it would end.

Bloody wings flutter in hope,

Pandora's last gift urges her on.

Many did wonder how she could cope,

There is no secret, she has to stay strong.

Cold moonlight shine through the bars,

Dead eyes stare up at the sky.

She doesn't see the bright, burning stars,

A mantra repeats-why, why, why?

Tears spill from beneath her shut eyelids,

All of her memories are rushing back.

She thinks of the time when they were still kids,

And her tough façade slowly begins to crack.

A broken voice begs for forgiveness,

It howls for sweet release.

A salvation from this insane mess,

The promise of eternal peace.
