A/N: This is my first story, I hope you like it. If you've seen other stories from this account, it's because it didn't orginally belong to me, but I've been given this account, deleted the stories and started fresh:') I've become addicted to Kung Fu Panda 1&2 since I got bought the second one. Don't call me stupid; I've only just realised there are other Kung Fu Panda films/tv show thingy:L

Summary: She'd been the number 1 student until he'd arrived. Furious, she quit. Many years later, she regrets not finishing the course. Seeking out Master Shifu once more, she runs into the one who caused her to quit.

Whole story set many years before Kung Fu Panda 1, just telling you now to avoid any confusion!

Oh, and this is just the prologue, set many years before the rest of the story.

New Favourite

Snowdrop marched towards the training hall, purring loudly; today, Master Shifu would finish teaching her the nerve attack. It was unusual for a student as young as her to learn such a dangerous attack, but since she was extremely good at Kung Fu, and class favourite, she'd been given an exception. The young pure white and black snow leopard had taken great pride in this opportunity and didn't fail to boast to those who'd bullied her. Of course, boasting within itself was something rare to have come from the kind-hearted leopard, clearly showing how much it meant to her.

Beaming, Snowdrop pushed the door open and slipped inside. Master Shifu was standing tall on a platform, head held high with pride. But, to Snowdrop's horror, he wasn't waiting for the pure white snow leopard, he was training a silvery grey coloured snow leopard. Tears pricked Snowdrop's eyes and poured down her furry cheeks. It was completely clear to her that she was no longer the favourite and Master Shifu had developed a new love.

"I quit." She said loudly, wiping her eyes furiously. Master Shifu was shocked by her appearance in the hall, staring at her in disbelief.

"A real warrior never quits." He said solomenly, trying to hide any signs of emotion. The other snow leopard stopped training and stared at Snowdrop, surprised to how white her fur was and confused by what was happening. To him, she almost sounded as though she was surprised to see him there and that she was Shifu's favourite. Of course, that wasn't true; he'd been Shifu's cub for eight years now.

"Why was he never in any of the classes? Or were you too afraid to show the others that someone slightly older than us, was your pride and joy, who taught more to than you'd ever teach us?" Snowdrop spat, spinning on her heels. Without glancing back, she stormed out of the hall, biting down on her lips to keep from crying. Showing emotions was weak. She was not weak. More that's what she would now tell herself, since the person she trusted the most had turned his back on her.
