Watch him stand over by the door,

Never wanting to feel the pain anymore.

Enough with feeling so drab,

Now he walks out and into that cab.

Away he goes away from the house,

Slips away, quieter than a mouse.

He looks back but never says,

What he wants or what he needs.

Now he stands there in front of that building so tall,

Nothing between him and his future, except that emotional wall.

As he steps onto that train,

He thinks, nothing to lose, nothing to gain,

Only to hide inside, his fear and pain.

His heart is gone, far away,

Was it ever there, some may say.

As he believes, it was there all along,

Sitting right there, all big and strong.

Leaving the life he once loved and lived,

Nothing left to love, nothing left to give.

Getting off the train in a city away so far,

Only things left from his past, are the memories and the scars.

Standing there is the only one who still holds on to his love,

The girl who went through everything, below and above.

Holding onto each other, not wanting to let go,

She looks up and says, Hey, look, it's starting to snow!

He pulls her close and gives her a kiss,

Wondering why their love still exists.

After all this time, they were still in love,

It was the kind of love anyone could ask of.

She then bent down, and picked up a small child,

The little boy, in her arms, looked up at him and smiled.

He smiled back down and kissed the boy's head,

The three then walked away, into the daylight ahead.

Now that they when together again,

So much happier than he had been.

A real family, he thought, with his arm around the woman beside him,

Would they ever be apart again, he asked himself, nah, chance of that is slim.

If it doesn't make sense to you, oh, well. It was just an idea that I thought of. I thought it was kinda cute though...
