An Endless Love
A/N:
Okay here's the promised, one-shot, prequel of To Touch You. It isn't necessary to read this but hey, you're her so you may as well read, it can also be read as just a standalone one shot. It just delves into the Pharaoh's feelings for his hikari.
Atem loved how Yugi Mutou wore the puzzle around his neck. He wore it with such pride, as if it were the only thing that mattered to him. Atem loved to think…that he was important to Yugi…but he wasn't…How could he be?. He wished Yugi could see him.
Of course, Atem knew he needed to be realistic, what he was dreaming of was impossible. He hated himself for that…He hated knowing Yugi would never see him, he hated that he'd never be able to touch Yugi. That was what he dreamed of, to be able to touch the boy that was his protector…boy? Yugi was more of a young man actually, one that Atem had utmost respect for.
Atem had never felt the way he did when it came to Yugi Mutou, even his childhood friend, Mana, of whom he remembered so little, had not made him feel like this…he couldn't figure out whether or not his feelings were a good thing.
It made him sad, he felt sorry that he could not speak to Yugi, the angelic being that the pharaoh felt so strongly for. Atem whiled away the endless days, trapped inside the Sennen Puzzle, trapped inside of his own mind. He'd long ago, lost all sense of time, wandering the halls of his soul. His only hope was too build his strength, perhaps then he could escape, if only for a moment. In this time, Atem could think only of Yugi Mutou, he didn't understand his own feelings but he knew that if he wanted anything, it was to touch Yugi…it was a strange feeling, it was stranger still that this fifteen year old could make him, a pharaoh, so weak.
Sometimes, Atem swore he could hear Yugi's heartbeat, through the walls of his entombment, the rhythmic soft beating, he loved that sound it reminded him of life…was he alive? He didn't know…but he wasn't dead. At least, he didn't think he was dead, so he must've been alive, not that it was living…He felt nothing…he was nothing.
To Atem, there was only one thing in the world that mattered. Yugi Mutou.
A/N: I don't own YGO. I like how that went It was a little short, but it's just a oneshot. Thanks for reading, please review. ^.^
