It was over for her. There was no possible way for her to survive. Her last moments would decide the fate of the Galaxy.
Commander Jane Shepard, Alliance hero, first human spectre, and possibly the saviour of the Galaxy, but she would never know for certain.
She glanced at the phantom boy, what was her choice. Destroy all AI and the Reapers, unite both organic and mechanical life, or control the reapers.
Only one choice, but she would never know how it affected her friends, or if it was the right one.
They trusted her to make the right choice, Captain Anderson had trusted her.
Jane grit her teeth, and limped forward, her eyes focusing on the blue and green energy, she could not kill her friends, like EDI, it was not an option.
She licked her lips, her eyes moving over to the green, she could not, would not, control any species, mechanical or not.
Her last choice was to merge the lives together.
"I am so sorry, Garrus." Jane breathed, as tears began gathering in her eyes.
Jane stepped up to the green light but paused to glance at the boy, "You better not be lying to me, or I will haunt all you assholes." She snapped her eyes narrowing.
She limped, turning, to stare at the green light beam.
Then she stepped forwards, into it, and pain enveloped her, as her molecules were torn apartone by one.
Then the pain was completely gone.
It was all over.
Commander Jane Shepard just wished she could have lived to see how it all had ended.
