Draco Malfoy opened the door, hoping that he wasn't too late, hoping that she was still there and not on her way to her own wedding.

He sighed in relief as he saw her, admiring herself in the mirror. She looked more breathtakingly beautiful than usual.

She was practically glowing with pure joy and happiness. Draco's brain was screaming for him to just leave her alone, go on with his life and let her go on with hers.

But his heart was telling him to go on and tell her; tell her how he feels, tell her how sorry he was for hurting her uncountable times and tell her that she deserves happiness.

"Hermione," he whispered. He loved the feel of her name on his lips, it was like sipping the most delicious Butterbeer. You have to savor it, to truly appreciate how amazing it is.

"D—Draco," she stammered nervously and turned around. She frowned. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

Draco's eyes filled with sorrow and sadness and Hermione wanted to take it all away. She hated seeing him suffer. It was unbearable and it pained her.

"I love you, Hermione," he said, his voice almost cracking. "I don't know why it took me such a long time to figure it out. But I love you.

"I am truly sorry for all the things I've done to hurt you. You don't deserve any of it. At all. I was stupid and reckless. I was undeserving of your forgiveness and love. I shouldn't have done those things. I shouldn't have assumed that you would never leave me, but you did and he comforted you. He gave you things I couldn't give to you, that I should have given to you," Draco whispered, staring at her, begging her to understand with his eyes.

He continued, "You deserve happiness. And Ron is obviously your happiness, and I have to accept that. Both of you deserve each other. I hope both of you have a beautiful married life. And always know that I'll always be there for you no matter what."

With tears streaming down her face, Hermione ran towards Draco and enveloped him in a hug. "Thank you, Draco…Thank you for saying all of those things," she murmured. "You're a wonderful man, I'm sure you'll find someone. And she would be one lucky girl."

Hermione pulled away from Draco and gave a him a watery smile. He smiled back at her, satisfied that he finally had plucked out the courage to say all of those things to her after months and months of contemplating.

But now, the question is, would he ever get over her? Would he ever stop loving her?

"Now I need to fix my makeup again," she said and chuckled as she looked at herself in the mirror.

Someone knocked on the door. "Come in," Hermione said loudly.

A tall and pretty raven haired girl entered the room. Hermione smirked, as an idea formed into her head.

"Draco, meet Astoria Greengrass. Astoria, meet Draco Malfoy," Hermione said. "I…have to, um…go to Fleur so she could redo my makeup. Bye!" she said hastily and quickly went out of the room.

Draco and Astoria looked and grinned at each other uneasily. They felt like they were at the beginning of something. They had no idea what it was…yet. But they knew that it was going to be amazing.
