It took awhile for Ferb's eyes to adjust to the light. Before he can take his surroundings in, he was immediately glomped by a certain redhead.

"Ferb! Dude, about time you got up!" Phineas said when he finally let go. His eyes looked like he's been crying for weeks.

"Phin, it's only been a day," Candace said, rolling her eyes.

"B-but, you remember..." Phineas said softly. Candace's expression softened, as she lightly patted his head. She looked back and forth between the two boys. "I understand. I'll go tell mom he's awake."

Phineas climbed up Ferb's bed, sitting beside him. "How you doin, Bro? Your head okay?"

Ferb touched his head and felt bandages all over. Now that Phineas mentioned it, his head throbbed slightly. Must be why he was in a hospital. He glanced at Phineas.

"Oh, you don't remember? We were building a cage when one of the bars fell on your head..." Phineas said, his voice gradually getting softer.

"You started bleeding a-and then y-you were-" Ferb placed a hand on his shoulder as Phineas stopped and blinked back tears.

"I didn't know what to do," Phineas whispered. Ferb leaned in and gave him a hug, which caused the redhead to release a flow of tears. Ferb felt his shoulder getting damper by the second.

"It's okay, I'm fine," Ferb said when Phineas finally let go.

Phineas gave a weak smile, "I just have bad history with hospitals. You know that." Ferb nodded, a bit sorry he made Phineas feel all this grief and remember so much.

"It's not your fault," Phineas said, easily reading Ferb's expression. Ferb opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by Phineas.

"All that matters is that you're okay, alright, Ferbmeister?" Phineas cracked a grin, as Ferb smiled as well.

The door burst open as Phineas climbed off the bed. Linda, Lawrence, their grandparents and their friends entered. Everyone was frantic, as Ferb only gave silent nods or shakes of his head. Phineas was sitting on a chair on the far corner of the room, watching as they fuss about. When only their parents and Candace were in the room, Phineas walked back beside him.

"Ferb honey, the doctor says you'll still be staying for 2 days till they get your bandages off," Linda said.

Phineas' eyes widened. "Mom, two more days? B-but-"

Lawrence gave a smile, "Now now, Phineas, if you'd like, the doctor agreed you can stay with him."

"Ofcourse I do!" Phineas said happily.

Candace smiled as she handed him his backpack, "Two days of relaxation!"

"Are you okay with sharing a bed, Ferb?"

Ferb gave a thumbs up.

"Alright then, boys, we'll visit again tomorrow. Phineas, take care of your brother!"

Phineas grinned happily, "I will, Mom!"

Phineas cozied himself up on Ferb's bed, settling under the covers.

"Goodnight, Ferb," Phineas said softly, wrapping a protective arm around the injured's waist.

Ferb smiled, "Night, Phin."

A small purr was heard below the bed.

"Oh, there you are, Perry."
