"Do you think they'll forbid it? Our friendship, I mean," Rhyme asked her new best friend, Kariya.

"I hope not," the orange haired Reaper said to Rhyme. "Seriously, I hope they'll realize we're just friends..."

"Hmm?" a certain Composer said, looking at the odd pairing. "So Kariya and Rhyme are friends? Looks like I have a job to do..." Joshua smirked as the pair walked into Ramen Don.

"What's this about, Rhyme?" Beat asked. "You called me in here, and then I find out Uzuki's been invited here by Kariya. Something's up."

"Exactly. And if you don't tell us in the next five minutes, something is going to happen. So spit it out," Uzuki said.

"Well, to be blunt, me and Rhyme are now-" Kariya started.

"Dating. They're dating," Joshua said, conveniently strolling in at the one time the pair didn't want him to interfere.

"You WHAT?! Rhyme, this is unacceptable, I'm not letting you-"

"We aren't dating, Beat! Joshua was lying!" Rhyme said.

"Exactly, what I was going to say was that-"

"They aren't just dating. They're kissing too."

"WHAT?!" Uzuki screeched, throwing her ramen at Kariya, who nimbly dodged it and then turned to face Joshua with Rhyme.

"Joshua, DON'T INTERFERE!" the ever-mad Kariya and Rhyme yelled at the blonde Composer.

"And why not?"

"Because at this point, Beat's going to kill Kariya!" Rhyme yelled back.

"Exactly. What I'm SAYING is that me and Rhyme are now best friends. That's all we wanted to tell you. We thought it might be weird if we started hanging out a lot without telling you two why. We had a feeling you might jump to conclusions. Which is precicely what you two did. And why would I date a girl who's several years younger than me who has an older brother who would most likely beat me up if he ever heard about it?" Kariya asked.

Uzuki and Beat were silent.

"So...Are you guys okay with us being friends?" Rhyme asked.

"I'm fine with it. Not sure if he is though," Uzuki said, pointing at Beat. Beat kept looking at the table. Then, he stood up, giving Kariya a death glare.

"I don't trust you. I most likely never will. I don't want Rhyme to be friends with you because of that. But if she trusts you then I'm going to just have to suck it up and be a man about it. Because she has pretty good judgement when it comes to these things. But if you ever hurt her-"

"If I hurt her, you have full rights to kill me, Beat," Kariya said, looking him straight in the eye.

"Glad I established that."

"Now, Joshua, I believe you need to apologize to everybody here for your interference," Rhyme said giving Joshua a look that said, "You aren't getting out of this one."

"Fine. I'm sorry. Have a nice life," Joshua grumbled, walking out of the Ramen Don.

"Well! That was fun," Rhyme sighed.

"In what universe, Rhyme?" Kariya asked.

"In mine."
