Three little words. That's all she was looking for from him.
It was stiflingly hot in the small, stuffy office. The little window was open to let air in, but it wasn't doing its job very well.
It had been boiling since the second that she had walked through the door, but the heat had risen incalculably in the past fifteen seconds.
He was looking at her intently. His eyes, liquid chocolate, were staring into hers: usually icy blue, now watery, melted in the heat.
Without breaking eye contact he walked three steps forward until they was less than an arms width away from each other.
He put his hand on her arm, just below the shoulders, and pulled her closer. She went willingly, because she knew what he was going to say. It felt as though she'd been waiting a lifetime to hear him say it to her. It seemed as though she had been waiting an eternity to hear these words cross his lips.
He leaned forward, and whispered what she had longed to hear. As he spoke, his lips grazed the side of her ear.
She sighed in relief and happiness. She smiled. He'd finally said it, and he knew from the grin on her face that she felt the same. He took her hand, the small one wrapped in the large, and they ran out of the office, the echo of his words stiff hovering in the humid air of the oppressive room.
Let's ditch work.
A/N Ok, I know, not the best story ever written, but its cold and rainy and I got up at seven and went to school, even though the only lesson I had was first period english and then my teacher wasn't there and I had to spend £1 sodding 30 on a bus fare, when I was on the bus for like a minute, and I was bored so I thought I'd post this. Please review anyway!! =] xXx
