File #01: Origin Point

Captain Adam Sherwood was a decorated veteran, astounding astronaut, and explorer of the unknown. He was also the "father" of one of the greatest mass murders of all time.. Malignance began life as a simple rover named M.A.X, designed to explore the barren surfaces of planets. M.A.X did his job dutifully, but all good things aren't meant to last... Disaster struck when M.A.X caught in a cosmic storm during an expedition. With all communications loss, and the planet being dangerous to traverse. Captain Adam presumed M.A.X dead and left him behind. But you know what they say about presuming Captain Sherwood returned to that planet years later. He found M.A.X, but at a price…

File #02: I am Malignance…

M.A.X didn't die in that storm, but he was reborn. Believing Sherwood left him to die, M.A.X vowed to destroy The Captain and all he stood for. He would destroy all organic life. Stuck in a crater with a dying body, he found something. A disk shaped object called an Emitter. With a brand new body and a hate for all organic life, he decided to rename himself. M.A.X was dead, he was Malignance.

File #03: Volta vs Malignance

Captain Adam returned to that planet to investigate a strange energy source. Making his way to a strange crater, he had a reunion with the newly reborn M.A.X. Malignance attacked, and nearly killed The Captain. But before Malignance could land a killing blow, The Captain was transported to another dimension, where he met a strange alien woman. This woman, who called herself "The Queen", told Adam about the Emitters. Gifting Adam an Emitter, The Captain became Volta. Volta and Malignance became locked into a battle which would span planets, ending in The Captain's death on Earth...However, before he died, Volta passed his Emitter on to a nearby student. That student's name was Ethan Smith. Ethan Smith, now Volta, transformed and fought against Malignance and those he corrupted with The Emitters. With The Emitters power, he eventually fought and destroyed Malignance. The Earth was at peace...or so he thought...
