Edmund's POV

Looking for something I've never seen

Alone and I'm in between

The place that I'm from, is the place that in

A city I never been.

I stood facing my opponent on the battle field, who was bigger, stronger and better and sword fighting than me. My brother was on the other side of the battle, fighting his own duel.

I found a friend or should I say a foe

Said there's a few things you should know

We don't want you to see

We come and go

Here today gone tomorrow

I looked into the eyes of the solider in front of me, his eyes burning with hate. The solider made the first move, swinging his sword, trying to hit my side, but my two swords blocked that attack. My block turned into an attack, which was successfully defended by my opponent. As we kept fighting I was becoming weaker and weaker, the soldier was becoming stronger with more powerful blows.

We're only taking turns, holding this world.

It's how it's always been

When you're older you will understand.

I knew I was almost defeated, but the soldier also noticed, and he was using this against me. I quickly looked for Peter, noting he was on the other side, fighting a soldier as well. My opponent noticed who I was looking at and gave an evil smirk.

If I say who I know, it just goes to show

You need me less than I need you

Take it from me

We don't give sympathy

You can trust me, trust nobody

He was walking towards my brother, but Peter didn't notice, because his back was turned. The soldier I had just been fighting had his sword raised. I knew what he going to do, and I wasn't going to let him.

But I said you and me

We don't have honesty

The things we don't want to speak

I'll try to get out, but I'll never will

Traffic is perfectly still

I was completely exhausted, but I somehow got the energy to run to the soldier sneaking up behind my brother. I attacked him, which he easily blocked, and then he smiles that evil smirk.

We're only taking turns, holding this world.

It's how it's always been

When you're older you will understand.

My opponent disarmed of one of my swords, then the other. With nothing to protect me, he stabbed me in the stomach. And just at that moment Peter turned around. Pain flooded my body, and I collapsed to the floor. I just hoped Peter would understand why I did it.

And then again, maybe you don't

And then again maybe you won't

The battle sounds began to become distant, I heard Peter cry. I just hoped Peter would understand.

We're only taking turns, holding this world.

It's how it's always been

When you're older you will understand.

Blackness overcame me, but only one thing was on my mind....

When you're older you might understand

I hoped Peter and the girls understood why I did it.

When you're older you might understand.
