A lone figure could be seen sitting on a bench in a secluded park. The park was empty, seeing that it was close to midnight. Rain had been pouring down for the last couple of hours and it didn't seem like it would stop soon. The figure was shaking badly, clothes wet and clinging to the body. If anyone was nearby, they would hear the sound of sobbing coming from the figure.
'Why?' That question keeps repeating over and over in his head. He knew he should move and went home, but where was home? A few hours ago he would considered Usagi-san's apartment as home but not now. Not after the scene he was greeted with when he arrived there a few hours ago. Shocked to the core by what he was seeing, Misaki didn't waste anytime and runs away as fast as he could.
He didn't know how long he runs but when he stops to catch his breath, he realized he was standing near his favorite park. Not having anywhere else to go, he walked slowly to the park and sat down on the first bench that he could find. After he sat down, he realized that it was raining hard and he was soaking wet. He didn't care though. All he could feel was the pain deep in his chest.
He should have seen this coming though. After all, just like what his brother said, a relationship between men wouldn't last long and would only end in disaster. Thinking about his brother made him remembered the time when his brother found out about his relationship with Usagi-san. Disappointed was only putting it mildly. His brother was mortified and deeply disgusted.
He could remember clearly the argument that followed. In the end, Misaki couldn't take it anymore and clearly declared that he love Usagi-san and wouldn't leave him even if his brother insisted. That quickly brought an end to the argument and his brother, having nothing to say to that, quickly leaves. Since then, there's been no communication between them and although he was sad, Misaki stood by his statement.
But now, now he was not so sure anymore. Maybe he makes the wrong choice. Maybe he should have listened to his brother and leave Usagi-san. But it was too late now. Now he didn't have any place to go and he didn't even have any money with him. He had dropped his bag on the hallway when he saw the scene in front of him and had not bothered to take it with him when he ran away.
Thinking about it now, he should have taken his bag off the floor but at that moment, there was only one thing on his mind and that was to run away as fast as he can. Misaki sighed, knowing that there was nothing he could do about it now.
'What am I going to do now?' Misaki thought long and hard but he could think of no answer to that question. He couldn't go to his brother and he couldn't go back to Usagi-san's house. For the first time in his life, he was alone.
Misaki couldn't take it anymore and the tears that had stopped flowing started to run down his face once more. Usually he wouldn't cry in a public place but seeing that he was the only one in the park, he didn't care. He wouldn't even care if the park was full of people.
Misaki was so deep in thought and never noticed his name being called. The voice sounded so near and he quickly raised his head. Standing right in front of him was Usagi-san; the one person that he didn't want to see at the moment.
Standing up quickly, Misaki could feel the world spinning. He would have fallen to the ground if Usagi-san had not caught him. He knew he should scream and demanded an explanation from Usagi-san but he felt so tired. His eyes felt so heavy and the last thing he saw was Usagi-san's worried face and his name being called frantically before darkness enveloped him.
