Angel
Misa shaded her eyes with her gloved hand as she tilted her head and took in the blue, ethereal sky above. The clouds were white and fluffy like cotton candy. She smiled to herself: God must have loved her. It had been raining for a few days but on that day, the very day that mattered most, the weather was miraculously clear. Everything was perfect – just like how she had pictured it to be.
She had fallen in love with this garden chapel almost instantaneously when she first set her sight on it. She was there to shoot a wedding scene that day. Her limousine entered through the enormous arch gate and followed the marble lane that paved towards the white chapel. Lush green garden decorated with tones of fresh roses greeted her eyes as her limousine cruised by. There was a cupid statue standing at the centre of the fountain who welcomed her in front of the chapel.
She had blinked in happy tears and swore to herself that she would definitely hold her wedding there one day. She almost meant it with all her heart when she vowed "I do" during the shooting except she was acutely aware that the groom that stood besides her wasn't Raito. How she had wished that it was Raito…
But she no longer needed to wish any more. That day had finally arrived - she would be Raito's bride that day. The feelings in her overwhelmed her and made her shivered a little in her designer's white gown. She looked so pure and beautiful in it, like an angel who was wearing a diamond tiara in place of a halo.
More and more guest was slowly showing up. The press was invited too. The whole world was watching her grand wedding enviously and many speculated who the lucky groom was. They couldn't be more wrong. It was Raito that made her the luckiest girl in the world. Tears were already welling up in her eyes but she told herself that she would not cry. It would ruin her make up. Besides, Raito was waiting for her.
Without hesitant, Misa took a step forward and attended her wedding.
"Ahhhh……." A horrified scream sliced through the music and alarmed the wedding guests who attended. When the guests finally realized what had happened, more screams followed.
Misa Amane had thrown herself from the four-storey building besides the chapel a week after she knew Raito was dead.
