PERCABETH RHAPSODY

1: HIS OCEANIC EYES

I knew it when I saw him

With the satyr by his feet

That all you said was true,

Chiron,

He and I were meant to meet

I remember how he slept

And the heartstrings that he tore

My mind welled up with questions

And so

I couldn't take it anymore

I asked him what was stolen

But he didn't have a clue

It was then, I realised

His eyes

Were more than blue –

When I look into

Those oceanic eyes

I can feel the oceans rise

He is not the one you fear

Will turn the world around;

When I look into

Those oceanic eyes

It's just courage in disguise.

When Poseidon claimed him

I didn't know what to feel –

Did nothing ever happen,

Grover,

Was Thalia even real?

Zeus's master bolt was stolen,

Poseidon he did detest,

We knew what we had to do

And so

We set off on our quest

As the anguish toiled on

I felt our friendship brew;

It was then, I realised,

His eyes

Were more than blue –

When I look into

Those oceanic eyes

I can feel the oceans rise

He is not the one you fear

Will turn the world around –

He's the one that I hold dear

And to my heart is bound –

When I look into

Those oceanic eyes

It's just courage in disguise

The oceans in his eyes

Are endless.
