Hello! Um, yeah, sooooooo... This is a short little one-shot, not even over 500 words. I know, I know-I should write more. But really, while the book is AWESOME, it doesn't really give us a lot of info about Mauskopf. Well, this is kinda what I think the conversation about Elizabeth was from Mauskopf to Doc. And did anyone notice that Mauskopf's first name is Stan and Doc's is Lee? Stan Lee! Hah! The guy who created MARVEL! Awesome! :D

Stan Mauskopf shut his apartment door behind him. He was tired from the day; the kids were a bit less attentive and more jittery today than normal.

A skittering made him smile as his dog, Griffin crashed into him and almost knocked him to the floor. Griffin was excitedly licking Stan's face; being alone almost all day was boring for a dog!

"Down, Griffin," Stan commanded the dog. Reluctantly, Griffin sat down and wagged his tail at his owner. Stan patted the dog's head, and earned himself a few licks on the hand.

Stan made his way over to the phone, and, considering that his apartment was fairly small, he didn't have to go far. He dialed for his friend, Lee Rust, and only had to wait a few rings before,

"Lee Rust," the man on the other line answered.

"Hello, Lee, it's Stan," Stan started.

"Stan!" Lee exclaimed. "How are you, my friend?"

"I'm fine, how are you?" He replied.

"I'm well, thank you for asking! So, is there anything going on?" Lee asked.

"Yes. In a few minutes, you'll be getting another phone call; it'll be from one of my students, Elizabeth Rew. I gave her your number because I thought she would make a good page, and I understand that you have still not found a replacement for Zandra." Stan explained.

"Alright. We could use some more help over here. What's this Elizabeth like?" Lee questioned.

"She's hard working, and a very bright student. I also saw her give her gym sneakers and socks to Grace a while ago. And her paper about the Grimm Brothers was quite exceptional, I might add."

"She sounds like a good student. I think she'll make a wonderful page. Well, you never have sent us a bad page. Thank you for letting me know, Stan." Lee agreed. Stan heard a beep come from the other end of the line. "I'm getting another call; that's probably Elizabeth. Well, I'll talk to you later, Stan." He concluded.

"Goodbye, Lee!" Stan said. He heard beeps from the other line, and hung up the phone.

He sighed. He knew Elizabeth would make a fine page. It's just that sometimes the temptation of the Grimm Collection can be too much for a child.
