I OWN NOTHING!

End of Summer Vacation

"You only love her because your Somebody loves her Somebody. You do not actually care for her. You cannot. Nobodies do not possess a heart, so how could you love? You are just a pale imitation of someone else. You both are. Such is the fate of a Nobody", the mysterious cloaked figure said tonelessly.

"No! My heart belongs to me!", yelled Roxas as he brutally slashed the air with his keyblade. The figure began to laugh harshly and, enraged, Roxas leapt at him, slicing the man in half where he stood. Or so he thought. Sparkling light erupted from where his keyblade he gone through the man, completely sealing up the new holes in the projection.

"My apologies. This is only a data-based projection", the figure said in an indifferent manner. Howling angrily, Roxas began furiously slashing at the figure, faster and faster until he gave up, exhausted. In a final flash of light the mysterious figure disappeared entirely, leaving Roxas struggling to catch his breath and attempting to calm his thoughts.

Suddenly, he heard the sharp hiss of escaping air from behind him. Turning his head around slowly, he stood motionless in front of the huge white pod in the center of the room as it haltingly opened like a giant mechanical flower. A thin white mist gently flowed out of the pod and pooled on the floor as the cooler air in the pod met and collided with the warm air outside it.

Against his better judgement, Roxas glanced inside the pod. Floating peacefully inside the capsule was a boy about his age, with spiky brown hair and clothes that looked way too tight for him. His name was...

With a jolt, Roxas recognized the boy as the one from his weird dreams. Sora, the one who wielded the keyblade and, supposedly, was his Somebody. Feeling an odd tug in his chest where his heart should have been, he walked closer, wanting to examine the one who stole his life away from him without even knowing it.

As he walked, memories flashed behind his eyes. Suddenly understanding why each of the worlds had felt so familiar, his eyes misted up as he finally reached the bottom of the pod. Feeling himself on the verge of being absorbed into Sora completely, he sighed deeply and said one last thing.

"I guess my summer vacation is...over" Closing his eyes, he felt himself merge with Sora. After trying to dominate for a minute or two, Roxas finally gave up and let Sora's unconscious shove him to the back of his mind.

Letting a single tear fall onto her hastily drawn picture, Namine slowly blew the dust off an old desk nearby and placed the last drawing on top of it. Her task was finally over and she could only hope that Roxas would recognize her the next time he saw her. If he did not, then she would probably just let herself disappear completely, rather than spend a lifetime stuck inside Kairi, knowing that Roxas was unable to see her and talk to her. She sighed and slowly gathered her drawings, unsure what to do now that her reason for existing was gone.
