The power hummed through Cassie's tiny shaking frame, and surged out of her in a giant burst of flames. Her head tilted back and she bathed herself in the pleasurable feeling of the knowledge that she could do that. She could do that, and she did. And if they thought that they could ever hurt her and her circle they were mistaken, because no one was as powerful as she.
She strutted across the black cement into the Hunters Headquarters cluttered with unusual objects, and a table lined with bottles that were meant to kill her circle. As she strode pass them blew up losing all the magic that Jake had granted them. With a smirk she sat down into the chair that she had previously been tied to.
She sat and waited perfectly still, perfectly patient. Finally the Hunters burst through the door, and she gave them a smirk, looking as devilish as Faye.
"What took you so long?" she purred as they drew their blades which with a quick incantation flew out of their hands and out of their reach. "Let's make this quick, you witch's promise to leave my circle and I alone and to not train your ancestors in the Hunters way and I let you live. You do not promise, I kill you. Simple, easy, right?"
With a deep cut on each of their palms which Cassie cauterized, and a little oath the promise was sealed. They were reminded of the lifetime promise every time they looked at the scars adorning their palms, and if they ever thought about breaking the promise the burning, as if powerful flames were surging within them, was enough to dissuade them, because after all you didn't break a witch's promise and live to tell about it.
"Blood and Fire I swear to do as you desire." Because no one was as powerful as she.
