A/N: Instead of working on other stories, I got bored and wanted to write something fluffy.
Harbour Lights
The lanterns at the end of the dock reflected yellow specks of light across the ocean's waves. His eyes sparkled as he watched each wave cascade onto the soft white-sanded shoreline. He never felt more at peace.
She sat with her back against the wind on a cozy blanket by his side, admiring his presence. His deep, dark, brown eyes that with one look could melt her heart gazed at her from afar. She leaned her head onto his big strong shoulders and let out a tranquil sigh.
"Thanks for coming with me, Sean" Alex coolly reached for his hand, "I know I don't say it often, but I'm glad you're here."
Sean gave her a bright smile and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. "I'm glad you asked me to be apart of your adventures."
"My Mother can't stay here long" she nods her head behind her toward the villas stacked against the cliffside, "as much as I love the Greek Isles, and waking up to the gorgeous sunrise over the bay, I miss the snow, Sean, and our balcony in New York" she smiles.
"She can always come home with us" Sean suggests. "Division is starting over. Ryan's in charge now. We don't have to hide."
"It would be nice maybe for a weekend or two" Alex thinks about it.
"Then it's settled" Sean stands up and pulls Alex with him, "we'll tell her in the morning."
The beach was cold and windy and her teeth chattered, but Alex didn't want the night to end so soon. When morning comes, they'll have to pack and return home. She gazed at his perfect eyes again and found that Sean was about to say something but he stopped.
He gave her a silent look, trying to decipher her thoughts. "What are you thinking about beautiful?"
Alex smirked and looked toward the dock. "How brave are you?" she winks.
Before he could answer, Alex was running along the pier, stripping off her t-shirt and pants. "Alex!" he shouts after her, "what are you doing?"
He watched her jump into the freezing water and emerge over the edge of the dock. "Don't be scared" she teases, "the water's nice."
"You're crazy" he stood there and laughed at her.
"Come on, Sean" Alex floats around, "you're a SEAL, this is nothing."
"Don't mess with me, Princess" Sean quickly took off his shirt and undid his belt. He eyed her carefully in the moonlight and smirked, "I'm coming in!"
Alex screamed when he jumped into the water, splashing her with delight. He swam over to her and scooped her up in his arms. "Hey" he smiles, teasingly.
"Hey" Alex gazed back at him, "nice of you to join me."
"Ohhh" he grinned at her, "you're in trouble."
Alex's smirk quickly vanished when she realized Sean wasn't joking. He swung her around with his strong arms and lifted her above his shoulder. "Hey! Put me down!" Alex struggled with his tight gripped.
"What did you say?" Sean teased her. "You want me to put you down?"
Her shimmering blue eyes widen as she crashed into the ocean, sending a giant splash in Sean's direction. He couldn't help but laugh at her drenched hair when she emerged above the water. "Sean!" Alex shouted in anger, although she couldn't stay mad at him.
He chuckled and splashed her some more, "this was your idea, Alex" he smirked.
"Stop it!" she giggled and ran away from him in the water.
She swam away as fast as she could, but Sean's rugged arms swooped her up into another embrace. She screamed and laughed as he held her tighter. "I'm never letting you go, Alexandra Udinov" Sean gazed down at her.
They kissed under the harbour lights and for the first time in a really long time, Alex felt at peace too. For tonight there was no Division, and no threats around them. Only the company of each other.
"Sean?" Alex looks up at him.
"Yeah babe?"
"I love you."
