Woop, written for the fe_fest on lj. And I actually finished it! Also, finally a poem from me that is not completely horrible and a pain to hear.
Prompt: Bastian/Lucia; in the morning light (My incredible ability to name things is incredible).
A small noise woke Bastian up. He blinked slowly, at first unwilling to leave the cocoon of warmth that was his bed, and turned. In front of the windows stood a person, barely clad. She wore a crown of sunlight; her presence almost blinded Bastian. He shielded his eyes and saw the gleaming blue of her hair, as bright as a summer day's sky. The air and sun seemed to hug her body tight when she moved around.
"As I open my eyes,
I see only gold and blue,
I thought 'tis the sun,
but it is you."
She startled lightly and turned around. "Bastian?" She sighed through her nose and shook her head. "It's six in the morning. How can anybody make poetry at this time?" Putting on her white tunic, Lucia strode over to the bed. With the sun in her back and the gleaming white of her clothes, she looked like an angel to Bastian. He smiled broadly.
"How can I not when my muse is here?"
Lucia shook her head again and leaned down to press a lingering kiss to his lips. After she pulled back, Bastian closed his eyes. "Ah, give me a moment. There is a poem in this kiss." He heard Lucia snort with amusement and a second later he had a pillow in his face. Chuckling, he looked at her over the edge of the pillow. She was already walking to the door.
"I have places to go. Save your poem until tonight."
After the door fell close behind her, Bastian sank back into the bed and sighed, his head full of love and rhymes.
