Carly and Sam had just left the apartment to go to Glitter Gloss for the sale. They were just about to get into the car when Sam smacked her forehead. "Ah Chiz! I forgot my purse!" Carly giggled. "You carry a purse now?" She looked at her, amused. Sam blushed slightly. "Hey! I AM a girl! And I DO carry things!" Carly looked at her hands in her lap and smiled. "Freddie made you girlieeer..." she said quietly. Sam just stook her tongue out at her and went back inside.
She was about to open the door to Carly's apartment when she heard Freddie and Mrs. Benson talking. "It's worth almost $100,000." Then some muffling. "You can't bribe me to break up w/ Sam!" "But Freddie!" "NO CHANCE!" Sam gasped and when she heard hurried footsteps coming toward the door she hid around the corner. When Mrs. Benson ran into her apartment, she waited a little bit and walked into the Shay apartment. "Hey, I thought you were going shopping?" She just stared at him. "Oh! Uh, I forgot my uh...purse." She was still staring at him while she attempted to grab her purse. "...You have a purse?" She huffed. "WHY does everyone find that so life-changing?" He smiled. "It's not...it's just that I just realized you're...a GIRL!" She looked at him weirdly. "Um...I hope you already knew that...cuz you know, we're...you know." He gave her a look. "Say it..." "Fine! We're dating. Happy?" "Pretty much," he laughed. She turned serious. "But...I bet some people aren't..." "What do you mean by that?" She looked down. "I don't know. We never would've thought this was gonna happen and some people could just be...shocked." He reached out and grabbed her hand. "Well, you've never been predictable. Why stop now?" She smiled. "And I don't care what others think. All that matters is how we feel about each other." "So...you wouldn't care even if someone offered you...oh I don't know, a LOT of money?" "Of course not. You mean way more to me than that." She turned quickly before he could see the tears in her eyes. "Ok, just clearing things up. Well I better go before Carly has a heart attack from lack of glitter." "Oh ok. Have fun. Bye." He turned back to the computer. She was about to leave but turned to look at him. The man that, a year ago, hated her. That was a total dork, nub, geek. That gave up $100,000 for her. She walked right up to him, spun him around, grabbed his face and kissed him...hard. His eyes widened considerably and he glanced over at Gibby, who looked just as confused. She let go and put her forehead to his. "Bye," she breathed. And she pecked him on the lips one more time and left. Freddie looked at Gibby again and mouthed 'WOW' just like he had to his mother.
Sam closed the door and leaned against it, eyes closed. She took a deep breath and exhaled. "I love you, Freddie," she whispered and walked down the hall.
