Only One Thing To Do-

"They're waiting for you," Dimitri said handing her the sparkling, shimmering, silver crown. Pooka had to bring the crown. It was that very crown and the meaning it represented that kept him from kissing Anya. After all, Princesses don't marry kitchen boys. He rescued her, but with that crown standing in his way once again, he was going to hop on the next train to St. Petersburg and walk out of her life forever. He had to, because princesses don't marry kitchen boys.

"Yeah," Anya agreed, but wished he hadn't of said that. After all that they've been through, he was telling her to accept her new role and position in life. Did rescuing her mean anything to him, did that almost kiss mean anything? Did she mean anything to him. If she did, he wasn't going to tell her. Biting her lip, Anya knew what she had to do. She was just scared to do it. It would certainly be awkward if she didn't mean anything to him-but he almost kissed her-twice! Turning the crown over in her hands as if to look at it at all angles, the princess said, "You know, maybe I don't want it anymore."

Dimitri's jaw dropped to the ground in surprise. Unsure of if he heard her correctly, he said, "Come again, your highness?"

Anya looked at him and repeated herself. "Maybe I don't want it anymore."

She did say it. Anastasia Nikolaevna just said that she was refusing the crown, the symbol of her birth and nobility. Well, it was her choice. "There's only one thing we can do then," Dimitri smirked.

"And what's that?" she asked him with raised eyebrows.

"Elope."

Now it was Anya's turn for her jaw to drop in surprise. He just said elope. Elope as in I love you, let's run away and get married. "What?" she asked.

"Huh? What?" Dimitri replied turning his head looking every which way pretending to miss something.

"Did you just say elope?" Anya curiously asked him.

"What? No!" Dimitri denied, "why would I say that?"

Though, Anya was positive that that was what he had suggested. "Just admit it!" she exclaimed.

"Admit what?" Dimitri asked.

"You are such a baby!" Anya exclaimed. "Only babies deny something as important as love."

"I am not a baby!"

"Then say it," Anya taunted. "Say that you love me."

"I-"

"Come on Baby, say it."

"Alright! Fine!" he snapped. "I love you, will you marry me?"

Anya smirked as she leaned in closer to him to kiss him. "Oh Darling," she replied, "I thought you'd never ask!"

To get her to stop talking, Dimitri did the only thing he deemed fit. He kissed her.

Anya pulled out of the kiss. "Well, there's only one thing to do," she said.

"And what's that?" Dimitri asked her. "Marry me?"

"Well that to," Anya smiled, "but first we need to get rid of this crown."
