Silent Night

Disclaimer: I don't own anyone and don't work with TNT. If I did I would've fired people in the art department for Chapter 5 and 11's art, but that's just me. All these wonderful characters are owned by TNT. I did make up their pasts though, and really don't mind if they're used in other places.

--------: Intro

Snow rained down from the endless sky above to create sheets of thick white snow over anything it touched. The air was dry and hurt his lungs to breath in. He couldn't see more than ten feet ahead of him in this kind of weather. Total whiteout. Growing up he lived in a desert village where it average ninety all year round. There was no way he could've known about this!

He walked until he saw a faint light near the top of his line of vision. Light for some reason warmed his body, even if he was supposed to be a creature of darkness. Instinct told him to go towards the light if he wanted to make it through the night, so he did. As he walked the glowing object became more clear, and he could see more lights from the various windows.

A house. A small one. It was so much smaller than his mansion in the West but this one was a lot more pleasant. There were personal touches to the two story home that he just didn't find at home. A small garden with frozen over plants in the front, and a string of white Christmas lights along the edges and the windows. The windows were festive, holly with ribbons careful placed around them. Through them he could see a sad excuse for a tree lit by a single string of lights, the rest still in a box beside it with the other decorations.

A moment was taken to think before he remembered this celebration. The day of Giving! his mind screamed. How could he have forgotten? Work has been catching up with him and now that he thought about it, he hadn't celebrated Christmas for years! Not since...

He jerked forward suddenly and fell forward, his body unable to take the cold any longer. His head bounced against the glass window, cracking it, but alerting the resident inside that he was there. After that it was darkness...

And cold...

A lot of cold...
