Sherlock," Sherlock looked over his book, at John and grunted, giving his crush his full attention.
"I'm, um, I'm going to see Sara tonight." Sherlock smiled his heart lurching and dropping to his stomach. John smiled, then took his coat up and sauntered out the door. Sherlock closed the door behind John, and sighed. He looked up tears in his eyes, then he opened the door to make sure nobody was around then shut the door again and took a deep breath and sang,
"I don't think that passenger seat
has ever looked this good to me,
He tells me about his night
and I count the colors in his eyes,"
Sherlock sighed only just holding back tears.
"He'll never fall in love
He swears, as he runs his fingers through his hair
I'm laughing 'cause I hope he's wrong
and I don't think it ever crossed his mind
He tells a joke, I fake a smile
that I know all his favorite songs!"
Sherlock Was pacing now tears running down his face. He turned to look at Mrs. Hudson as she came in smiling sadly.
"And I could tell you
His favorite color's green
He loves to argue
born on the seventeenth
His sister's beautiful
He has his father's eyes
and if you ask me if I love him
I'd lie."
Sherlock stopped pacing and sat down in the chair, Mrs. Hudson sat down next to him. Sherlock thought back to the other night when they had been at a party.
"He looks around the room
Innocently overlooks the truth
Shouldn't a light go on
Doesn't he know that I've had him memorized for so long
he sees everything black and white
Never let nobody see him cry
I don't let nobody see me wishin' he was mine"
Sherlock stood up and turned to face Mrs. Hudson, a pleading look in his eyes Mrs. Hudson had never seen in the young man's eyes before.
"I could tell you
His favorite color's green
He loves to argue
born on the seventeenth
His sister's beautiful
He has his father's eyes
and if you ask me if I love him
I'd lie." Sherlock clenched his teeth together and lets a few more tears drip down his face.
"He stands there, then walks away
My God, if I could only say
I'm holding every breath for you…" Sherlock trailed off, not hearing John come in behind him. He still continued to sing.
"He'd never tell you
But he can play guitar
I think he can see through everything but my heart
First thought when I wake up is
My God, he's beautiful
So I put on my make-up
And pray for a miracle."
"Yes, I could tell you
His favorite color's green
and he loves to argue
Oh, and it kills me
His sister's beautiful
He has his father's eyes!" John stepped on the creaky part of the floor and Sherlock spun around, but John pick's up for him,
"And if you ask me if I love him..."
Sherlock smiled and they sang together,
"If you ask me if I love him...
I'd lie." Sherlock swept John up in a hug, and kissed him.
Mrs. Hudson left the room having a feeling that they would be awhile.
