Author: Mike Fenton [Inspired by a story called 'Otomodachi'--which is by Emily "Mink" Koh--and written in the manner of William Shakespeare (it's not exactly iambic pentameter, but what the hey).] [Disclaimer: Tenchi Muyo! and its characters are the property of AIC and Pioneer LDC, Inc. and was created by Masaki Kajishima. This is just a silly sonnet of my own creation, so please don't sue me.] "Yugi to her friend Sasami" How fit a friend for my dispersions-- Whose name agrees with tidal decay, Whose fresh aspect suggests conversions And size belies your restful sway. The wind whispers, the sun laments-- Confined and pensive is the sea. Its borders disorders with no repents; Subdues statues to a mere mem'ry. So when our shadows submit to fates, Our salty satellites lose their use, We will endure--pleasant playmates-- Never resigned to senile abuse. Any creature can balance the scales, But a friend's amends never fails.
