Into the Light

Preview

The water around her swirled with blood as it's murky depths lapped up to touch her feet before silently drifting away. She couldn't figure out what had happened, no matter how much her brain staggered and sputtered trying to put the pieces together. Suddenly a pair of cool arms wrapped around her, lifting her from the sea of darkness. That's when everything faded to black.

Arabella stirred, her long white-blonde locks twirling around her on the red satin pillow. The soft silk of the sheets beneath her body seemed to caress her. The world around her was quiet and still and as she opened her eyes all she could see before her was darkness. Ever so slowly, her eyes began to adjust to the obscure darkness, allowing her to see into the rooms depths. It was with a startling sharpness that she took in her new surroundings. Arabella quickly began to feel confused. Where was she? Why was she hear? How did she get here? All these questions swam to the forefront of her mind she studied the room around her, only ever knowing one thing for sure. This place wasn't home.

That's when the wide double doors opened, letting in a flickering stream of golden light which was soon obscured by someone moving quickly, too quickly to the side of her bed. "Master, she is awake." Jumping from the sudden closeness of the stranger, Arabella's heart hammered in fear as she struggled to gain control of herself. A deliberate rustling came from beside her, and looking up she saw the pale pasty skin of the person above her. He was so close his long black hair almost tickled her cheeks, like a feather. Smiling slightly, the man before her motioned to someone behind him, beckoning. "Felix, you know what to do." Suddenly a pair of soft lips were caressing her neck. That's when the burning started.

I know this is short but if by the weekend I feel enough people like/want me to continue it then you shall have your first chapter, along with an explanation.
