You Must Be Alone

Keep your head held high
Make sure your smile is bright
Hold back the tears as long as you can

You have to be stronger than this

Don't allow anyone to touch you
Forbid yourself to ever truely love
Your time is forever a burden all to real

You have to survive

Always remember her words
Stay true to the teachings of the past
Have faith in the good of those that you protect

You have to be more focused

Be mindful of the dangers at your back
Take resbonsibility for the destruction at your heels
Accept that you are different and more hazardous than your gun

You must be more conscious that that

Others will hate you
Perhaps you deserve that
They will fear you and blame you

You must accept it all

To be alone is the only way
To be afraid to connect is saftey
To be unattached is saving others lives

You must be so lonely on your journey

*note* This is my third little frolic into Trigun poetry. Thanks to
all that enjoyed "Stories in His Scars" and "My Honey". This is a bit
in response to "stories..." but is definetly its own piece. This is
a little peek into the mind of Vash. The angst that he feels, the duty,
and the pressure, it seems to just crush him. The last line moves away
from the form, and is instead the thoughts of the reader, that may be
confusing, it just sort of popped in there, read and review. Thanks ^_^
