Starlight
by Toadstool89

Please enjoy this sonnet inspired by my favorite mobile game, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X.

Starlight

To live for heart is to live for the light
To preserve it in the face of darkness
To work for a Union one learns to fight
Solo and with others to beat Heartless

To travel across worlds is adventure
To walk among the unknown, though with fear
To make friends and foes...a mere side measure
Even if said friends one day disappear...

To enter the war, the ultimate end
To tear everything apart, heart and soul
To watch as light dies and darkness ascends
Events to come of prophecy foretold

One hundred years from now, will there be peace?
Or will all the Keyblade fights never cease?

In case anyone's wondering: What's a sonnet?

Huh, I get to talk about something other than a haiku. I still love my haikus though. Anyway, a sonnet is a poem consisting of three quatrains and a couplet at the end. All lines are ten syllables each. Sonnets are written in iambic pentameter, which means it alternates between stressed and unstressed syllables. But...I don't really care about that part as long as I have my syllable count right.

I don't own Kingdom Hearts.

Peace!

PS: Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is the first Kingdom Hearts game I've ever played. I might play some of the other games in the series, though...I'm really curious now.
