Chance
"Snow!"
She froze in her tracks.
That voice
It was his
It was his
But, the curseā¦
He was dead.
And yet, he was right in front of her eyes as she turned. "Charming."
So, she finds herself running and reaching and memorising every detail of the face she never wants to forget.
He has a beautiful smile on his face, torn between elation and outright tearful pride as she makes disbelieving noises and then as her eyes gleam with love, only then does she finally say:
"You found me."
And just as before, his heart is caught. He's hers again and she is his.
"Did you ever doubt I would?"
Shaking her head negatively, barely a second passes before she's crashing her lips to his in a carnal embrace angling herself to feel more of him as he slowly lifts her up and deepens it.
They forget what air is until; they have to gaspingly pull themselves apart to force it into their lungs.
"YOU'RE HERE! You're alive." She sobs as he she pecks his lips as desperately as when he'd awoken her from the potion.
He sets them down finally, and smiles giving a small kiss and tug on her swollen lips. "I love you, Snow White."
"And I love you David." She says pulling away and giving slight acknowledgement to the fact that he is known by his birth name here when he had been known as "James" or "Charming" to nearly all but, her until, George was defeated.
"Emma." He says fitting the pieces of both their fractured lives together a smile forming.
"She's beautiful."
"And she's been living with me all this time and I didn't even know it. Charming, how could barely a fraction of me even, forget that I had a child?" Snow says devastated.
He pulls her close to his chest and strokes her hair. "What matters now is that we'll be together again."
"We'll pick up the pieces and put our family back together."
Just as he said the words a shroud of bright, purple smoke could be seen from the distance, rapidly gaining in speed and engulfing everything in its path.
And it seemed yet again, their lives were to be torn asunder before they even had a chance.
"Find me."
"Always."
