All at once, Mara's conciseness came to her. She was in the most luxurious bed she'd ever been in.

She sighed contentedly, as she sat up and stretched out. While her arms were fully extended she felt the presence of someone else and smiled.

She was about to greet her husband when a voice said, "Hmmmm... Awake you are. Using the techniques I taught him, Luke has been."

The small voice laughed from next to her as Mara fell out of the bed.

She had only ever heard of one sentient who spoke that way. Luke had imitated him many times over the years. She was almost afraid to look back over the bed to where the voice came from.

"Fear me, you need not, Mara Jade."

With a resigned sigh, she looked towards the voice. She saw who she was predicting, Master Yoda. The room she was in was all white. So white it was almost blue. The walls, ceiling, and even floor. The only object in the whole room was the bed.

Due to the uniform color of the room, it was impossible to tell how large it was.

"Sleep well, did you?" Yoda asked.

"Uhhh... The last thing I remember is being on Kavan, fighting Jacen... I died?"

"Yes, become one with the Force you have. Death, as you called it, is but the beginning of your journey."

"But what about Ben... Luke?" Mara stammered.

"The nature of life this is. Know this, you do. Know this, they do. Mourn you they will, but an unsurmountable barrier, death is not."

"So I will be able to see them again, speak to them? Tell them..."

"Yes, visit them you may. As Obi-Wan did with Luke." Yoda answered.

"I need to go now! They will know and--"

"Irrelevant time is in the Force. No time has passed since your joining but also an eternity has."

"So I can see them anytime I want?"

"In time," He laughed. "Time for your first decision it is. One that will affect the corporal world." Yoda paused and Mara nodded for him to continue. "Your corporeal body, into the Force should it come?"

Mara had to think for a moment. Most Jedi, when then died became one with the Force in body, mind and spirit. She knew immediately what she would do.

"Can it stay there for a while? Long enough that they can find any evidence that there is to find? Long enough for them to say goodbye?"

Yoda smiled. "Yes, in control you are. Meld with the Force, at anytime your body may."

"Good," Mara said.

"Many things to learn you have. Teach you I will. A good Padawan you will make, I think."

"Just don't make me get the haircut," Mara said lightly. There was something nagging her thoughts. "Why did I wake up in bed with you?"

Again Yoda laughed. "Comfortable you were. And a sense of humor, the Force has. Learn this too, you will."
